My oldest kid just got her first car, I stumbled upon you researching what her Outback head gasket job will soon entail. Thanks for what you do, we will visit you from Albany for an alignment by appointment.

I wouldn't dream of going to a main dealer, not these days anyway, always trying to rip you off, to such an extent, it's now the norm, just comes natural to them. Word of mouth, when it comes to a good mechanic, one that works for himself, reputation will precede him, good for his business, good for the customer, always the way to go. And, also, try to do it yourself, of course, thanks to Eric, and people like him, it's possible.

I have not seen ANY reason for a dislike on this video(good job). I guess the dislikes are from people firing the parts canon at the problem, or from Kia tech's lol
( A friend of mine at a major ford dealership, that bought a Kia dealer was going to take the job as the head Kia tech. So in the meeting I said (35 people ) so what you are announcing is we have our own Kia pet. lol they crowd went wild. lol.

I'm doing the same work on my 05 Sportage. The seal seems to be one piece. The bearing was completely blown apart when I uninstalled the V coupler. This was one helluva job, but worth it, when a mechanic quoted me 3500. 00 dollars to replace the viscous coupler. I want to thank you for your DIY videos.

The seal is made that way to prevent it from creating a wear ring on the companion flange that goes through it. It is much less expensive to replace the 2 piece seal than to replace the flange that it seals. You probably knew that. I have many more years of experience but you humble me, truly.

I have all 4 tires off it be setting on blocks the engine be under a tree the drive shaft be be in woods my tools be all over the ground my cloths be covered in grease and dirt i be tired from no sleep for 4 days wife be mad baby is crying my life would be in center of HELL

Newer comment on older video, but oh well. Back in the day, we would freeze the hub the speedi sleeve went over to shrink it down a bit. Put the hub in the freezer overnight, and it worked like a charm. With good hand strength, the sleeve would slide on.

That Kia looks like it is built heavy duty where it counts. They are making good stuff. There's a video shot in the U. S. Georgia factory and the amount of hand finishing on the body before paint is impressive.
