Hyundai, it has to be said wth happened to the brand's affordable, efficient and accessible Ioniq? A racing N version of that would be fun, but it's discontinued.
It's a worrying sign that Hyundai a brand known for its entry level leadership has been over focusing on a premium selection of EVs while leaving a vacuum for Chinese EVs to capitalize.
But they had to delete the highly efficient and practical Ioniq hatch because the KIA Niro, EV9, the less practical Kona and TM3 killer Ioniq 5 and 6 are more profitable.
It's an industry trend that will end in disaster

First of all I am not anti electric and it's great that this is fun to drive. As with ice cars I see too many modes. Why not simply set up a car properly like the good old days?
Ditch the fake engine noise. It's trying to be something it's not.
Let's get back to a simple car, without phone compatibility. Just sat nav and switch on and go? Too many toys. We want to just enjoy the drive. That's the car I'd want.

If I was rich I would buy it and upgrade it, make it lighter mainly. Take out all the unnecessary stuff like the rear seats, tint the rear windows so nobody could see it has been stripped, take out all the sound proofing from the rear passenger area and trunk, install carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber wheels, plexiglass all the windows instead of the factory glass, carbon fiber front backet seats.

Bring back the affordable fun fast hot hatchback formula, a 2. 2 tonne hacth doesn't sound fun regardless of how much like a computer it feels like, bring back the fast Fords(STs, Renault Rs's Peugeot GTIS, Opels I don't want to program my car that I want to drive it, and you wonder why young people don't like cars its cause we made nonsense heavy expensive cars popular

The most fun EV already exists btw, it's called the BMW i3s.
(hint: 1, 250kg, and only 175 section tyres with pure rwd and a carbon fibre tub. For every opportunity to get the 5N to it's limits there are 100 opportunities to get a little i3 to it's limits, which makes it more fun, more of the time)

Really interesting car! That bloody noise would drive me nuts (it's not something that works well on video. Does the little guy in the back seat come standard in the base cost or is he an optional extra? OH! Did I mention about that horrible noise?

Fake engine noises in the cabin of an ICE car are pretty tough to stomach, but in an EV it's hard to comprehend. Seems a good car, but the faux gears and engine noise are puerile.

Plenty of people whinging in the comments here about the engine noise (that you can turn off, but pay attention to how good Matt says this car is dynamically very impressive.

It sounds pretty capable, but a 2 ton hot hatch with fake sound effects isn't particularly appealing. And for that price you can get a regular Ioniq 5 and an i20 N.

It says a lot if a 2. 2 tonne SUV is called the most fun EV.
The other manufacturers are really sleeping when it comes to fun/engaging EVs.
