The Ferrari 488 Pista, McLaren 600LT and Porsche 911 GT3 RS are three of the fastest, most exciting and most revered trackday sports cars in the world at the moment. But which is quickest in a straight line, and around a lap of Anglesey's Coastal circuit? And which is the most incredible to drive? Our back-to-back test is about to tell you

People who say the Mac 720S is the 488 Pista competitor are wrong. The 720S is a higher segment than the Ferrari 488. It's not just about price. Ferrari charge a premium because they are the top-dog in exotic sportscars and racing / racing history and and have been for the past 70 years. And on top of that, the 488 Pista is not a regular production model like the 720S but a special edition, limited edition. Casuals don't understand or know this so they only look at dollar amounts.

Interesting, with Cup2 R's (and equal sizes) the 600LT would have matched the Pistas lap time and acceleration + significantly shorter breaking. The R is a MUCH softer compound than Trofeo R and the regular Cup2's, they are gone after a few laps at full speed but designed to set lap records for the OEM's marketing departments.

For the testcrew: If you get responsible for such potent and serious sportscars - a real labour of love from the manufacturer - then you should be obliged to show at least a decent amount of respect in return. Poor driving skills and a completley inaccurate mix of cars. Go home and do better next time.

I say Gt2rs vs 675lt vs Pista. I think it makes more sense.
600lt was slower than 1. 5 sec, 675lt would destroy the Pista.
Also both porsche and mclaren don't have active Aero.
Also the launch on 600lt was not the best.

Like to see the time of the 991. 2 turbo s, the 991 did 1m13, 6s with standard tires, the 991. 2 had some dinamic improvements and more power. I-m shure it can beat the 600LT and with the same tires be close of the pista time.

The fact that you guys simply state that the GT3RS is better than the 2RS, but goes to show your lack of reasoning.
The 2RS is miles better than the 3RS, and not because of its power, but because it's just better overall.

The track also as a lot of impact, I feel like the gt3 would feel a lot better in a track with faster and longer turns. Since both of the other cars are turbo charged, the response out of shorter corner should be better

Just trying to make the ferrari look better. the 600lt isnt even in the same class as the pista and the gt3rs isnt built to compete with the pista. put the 720s and the gt2rs against the pista.

Shortshifting the GT3RS, and not downshifting into it's torque curve but stays hanging in high gears. Seems a bit corrupted, hm?
Sure it wouldve gotten real close if not beat the Ferrari

Don-t understand for a lap time comparison why you wouldn-t run green tyres on all cars? Cup2r drop off is huge and on a short track I couldn-t see how the RS is 3. 3 seconds off?
