Perhaps Subaru's biggest announcement this year is the new 11. 6-inch touchscreen infotainment and navigation system offered in the new Subaru Outback and related Legacy sedan. Subaru also decided to make the screen standard on all but the base trim meaning this isn't just reserved for those willing to pay a premium for a snazzy LCD

Competition i cant wait until more competition make this the new standart when this happens I think it will trigger a change in commute dynamic and triggering by it self a door to change human conception of commuting if Waze user could talk to each other i believe it would open the door cars communicating speed, intentions and real time gestion of traffic how low does the price of this technologie has to be for it to be given at every licence renewal via value as safety standart like as a seatbelt. Bringing the Road technologie infrastructure to adapt itself to meta data of the infrastructures state. That push the sale of more of the vehicule having that smart connected technologie standards. Soo convenient it will push the hybrids sales. i dont know but if some investors or a government investment would get together and make the RnD.

My concern with all infotainment system is high level of distraction. Many buttons that were easy to find are now buried within several menu options. Case in point, air vent direction. It seems that newer cars are giving us bigger screens with more options. Whatever happened to just driving

I just want a larger part/full time rear camera. Front camera would be nice too. Perhaps split screen. After that these touch screens are real garbage. Having to hit 7 buttons to get it to do what you want while driving is just terrible. 5: 22

Good review, and good point about not being able to choose which screens to pair with Apple Car Play/Android Auto. Not a deal breaker but it is a legit criticism. Hopefully Subaru can tweak things in future software updates.

This might look nice new in the showroom but it will be a nightmare to keep that huge ass display and all the black glossy accents clean. My STI with glossy black accents drives me nuts trying to keep it dust free

It looks like they did to for no other reason than to save money on switching and wiring. The UI isn't pleasing and the audio section looks like a Pioneer double din headunit from the mid 2000's.

Looks like a very cheap knockoff of a Tesla Model S Infotainment system. They even stolen the Starlink name from SpaceX upcoming global satellite internet service.

Something about the Japanese brand infotainment screens that makes them look dated. Hondas, Toyotas, Subarus, Mazdas, etc. Must be the font, graphics, fuzziness.

Two questions. 1. How does this compare to the RAM 1500 limited? 2. Do you prefer this or the 2020 Highlander with their horizontal wide screen?

I kinda like the old screenDo I really want the larger screen and sacrifice ease of use? I like the larger map, but other than that I dont know
