Just read on GM Authority on 2/19/24 that GM has Stopped all Orders and Sales of 2024 Colorado and Canyon trucks, because of a problem with software. No timetable was given for when orders and sales will resume. GM CEO Mary Barra did take one for the team though when she said afterwards that GM has been having lots of issues with tech on new vehicles. Nice of her to say that even though it is coming at the expense and inconvenience of customers being used as Ginnie Pigs to see if the 2023/2024 GM twins Colorados and Canyons work right. It might be time for change and give Mary B the Boot, the 2023 Colorados and Canyons have been plagued with issues and problems, and now the new 2024s are starting out on a sour note also

Shouldn't we be making more of an issue out of trucks being one thing for everyone Trucks are as essential as any tools we need for, I don't know, society to survive.
I mean, imagine if all hammers now came with touch screen infotainment systems to keep your kids occupied and a safety suite to prevent your wife from hurting herself, and now all hammers are made several times more expensive to cope. Does that make any sense, or are people who object to this just neandertals

I waited and ended up buying a 2024 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition. I liked the minor upgrade they did with the 2024. Faster infotainment with wireless CarPlay. Roomier, a better ride, and I am not going off-road. I like having AWD. I thought about the Tacoma Limited Hybrid, but it won't come out for a while and will be very expensive. I am overall happy with the Ridgeline.

Alex, On the subject of oversized mid-size pickups, I rounded the corner recently and saw what I thought was a Canyon. Then I did a double take and realized it was a 10 year old Sierrra. For the record, what we see at 4: 23 is not a piece of plywood. It is section of Disoriented Strand Board which is vastly inferior to genuine plywood.

With the same price or less, you can get a top tier frontier Pro4x. With better interior and an old school v6 that likely lasts longer.
I was deciding between these two last November. But Nissan has more inventory and better value. And I don’t mind that heavy steering wheel.
Though no telescope steering wheel is a bummer

I've watched the engineering video on this 2. 7L it will be a great reliable engine. How ever WTH GM WHY did fuel economy go down and i mean a lot! I have 2 Colorados. 2020 Z71 Diesel yeah 30 mpg hwy all day and a 22 LT V6 4X2 25mpg hwy. I really could use a more comfortable interior, but not at the expense of fuel economy.

One thing worth notingfuel economy isn’t linear, so 10% better’ doesn’t really make sense. You’ll save more money going from 20mpg to 22mpg than you would going from 22 to 24, but those both look like equivalent improvements.

Exterior light controls being buried in the UI is a mis-step.
Lights are often used by means of flashing to communicate intent or as a thank you.
Another glaring omission is not having 4ft clearance between the wheel well.

I do like that they essentially offer the same powertrain in this that its full-size sibling gets in the Silverado. Provides some confidence that the mill is able to cope well with whatever an owner of this would reasonably expect.

I still don’t get halogens on a 2024 vehicle. A base Corolla comes with LED’s. That’s my same gripe with the frontier, unless you go for the higher up trims, you’re stuck with Halogens

Nope, ultra-plasticky interior and only 2 mpg better combined than the Silverado Not very compelling whatsoever. I'll wait for the new-gen Ranger or even take the FX4 4WD EcoBoost Maverick.

What a horrible truck. Its 2024 and still has halogens. Id take the Taco over this POS any day. No wonder they had a stop sale on this lol.

I like the new GM twins in this segment. They'd definitely be on my top 2 picks for sure, although i prefer the canyons design.
