Virgin Atlantic Upper Class: MY BEST FLIGHT YET!

Virgin Atlantic Upper Class: MY BEST FLIGHT YET! Erica: The flight looked really nice. The service seemed great, the airline's staff and crew were all very friendly, yet professional, the plane's cabin looked well appointed and the lighting was lovely. The food and drinks looked delicious and plentiful. So from what saw in the video, the whole experience flying Virgin seemed almost perfect. almost. because for a lot of people, being able to see out of the window, is an important aspect of the flying experience and it would be a disappointment to have such a nice flight, but be missing that one thing. Isn't there a way that they can keep the seating area private while still allowing the passenger to the ability to look out the window if they chose to?

August 22 will be my third trip to London from Atlanta - I love the experience! The crews are the best anywhere & Ill only fly upper from now on ( began my second trip - SO WORTH IT ) the clubhouse at heathrow is phenomenal!
Can you do a video on How heathrow shopping works? Im a 60 yr old ( non tech savvy) woman - I want to pre order a LV bag but not sure how to get my bag and when? How much can you save ( if any )

I flew Virgin's upper class (the newer one on their A350) in 2019 and booked again with them for next week from London to US, I was deflated to see the assigned aircraft for my flight was this older model, but my business trip was re-scheduled to one week later, so I had to re-schedule and was given the new neo900 series flight for both ways on the new trip! Would be good if you could review that one.

Useful tip - after youve paid for your first Upper Class trip you are a heck of a lot more likely to be upgraded in future it seems.
Of 8 trips Ive done from LDN to SEA since 2016 I paid for ONE and was upgraded for FOUR afterwards. Also helps to travel on a Saturday or Tuesday apparently.
My only gripe is Virgin seems to keep their cabins a few degrees warmer than usual, which is warm anyway.

I'd love to be able to travel in upper class on a Virgin flight but the cost isn't cheap & the other issue is at present iv not got a valid passport so can't fly out of or leave the UK except if wanna visit the Isle of Man, but for the distace to the IOM from the UK there's no way that Virgin would offer flights that have upper class as it would be tops around 30 minutes or slightly more.

Beautiful journey, and I would love to take a similar one myself. The food looked amazing, and I'm sure I would go for an extra burger.
My only complaint is that you had to arrive at LAX
It is the worst major international airport that I've been to. I know that they are currently working on improvements, and I hope they are successful. Because. damn. That airport sucked.

Flew to London recently with Virgin absolutely first class but friendly, service by all personnel. Flew back to the US on another major carrier, no comparison! The ambience was grey, they got me there, only one of the cabin staff was friendly, the others were surly with little interaction, I hope Virgin lasts, as an inspiration to the others.

The contrast between this and say a normal economy flight is like night and day. I just imagine a cut away where it's like wait forever in line, deal with crowds, get stressed trying to navigate around and Noel here in the 1st class lounge. I'm not taking any digs or anything. I'm just surprised by how different things are.

Seems like a dream to experience all of this fun flying experience. We can do it vicariously with you! Can you imagine the Mayflower travelers in 1619 taking several months to get the US east coast being told that in the future people can fly from London to the US west coast in 10 hours. They would say you are crazy!

That was truly enjoyable! Everything on the flight was First Class. I really liked the lounge & its many luxuries, incl shower, massages, lovely food & drink selection. Then the finest seating & ability to Sleep! Also the privacy & restful environment incredible! I can hardly wait to take a flight, myself!

For me, I just would spend all my time at the lounge on the ground; ) I'd arrive ten hours early to my flight (if they let me) and make a day of just that: ) Thank you Noel for showing us the upper class lounge and the rest of the flight. really amazeballs; )

Great video, very entertaining. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. I didn't personally think it seems very upper class from the very open plan, low seating. Seemed very public and not private at all. Loved the woman behind you reacting as you commented!

I have flown Seattle to London and return Premium Economy and it was great. We're going Upper Class this time, so very much looking forward to it. Two other bloggers have commented that it's the best flight they've ever taken, so we are very excited.

I really miss Virgin Airlines! They were some of the most affordable first class upgrade airlines. I use to be able to fly cross country with a $130 to $250 first class upgrade on my coach ticket. essentially flying first class for less then $500!

I've been on the flight deck with Qantas twice - once in a Boeing 747 from Heathrow to Singapore and once on something else from Adelaide to Sydney. So, yes, back in the day you did get good service and interesting stuff if you asked for it!

Virgin are the best airline i have flown with, one thing i always make sure of is that i sit on the opposite side of the aircraft to the one thats going to be facing the sun, as it can be a nuisance in flight

Virgin upper class is the worst Ive ever been on. the food was appalling even the cabin crew said they wouldnt eat it. That says it all as far as Im concerned. Never ever would I use this airline again.
reply

If I fly Virgin will I get kicked off for asking one of the English Flight Attendants to look at me sternly, and tell me I've been a bad boy? I'd give up the spa, the lounge and meal just for that.
reply

Yeah weird though because the people behind you can be totally staring at you without you realizing it, as evidenced by the person behind you gawking every time the camera was on.
