FANTASTIC! Alaska Airlines First Class!

FANTASTIC! Alaska Airlines First Class! travel: Its quite shameful how the airlines have evolved to be nothing but economy airlines. That Flight Attendant looks like shes wearing slippers as L1 closes with huge fat legs in leotards. thats so shameful and embarrassing to Legacy carriers or I should say carriers today from across the pond. Take a look how real crews look for example, Emirates airlines. just so shameful and the companies allow it because they are young kids them selfs running the show and have no idea what true Airline standards are. Moving on to that ridiculous so called meal you got in first class, if you can even call it a meal. It should really be a snack in economy, at least that is what it was in the 80s and 90s but this is the way the airlines are now. Back when I was a flight attendant we served a real hot meal on china served on linens with fresh flowers in first class on every single flight even if it was a 45 minutes flight you would get something to eat for example, a cold crab claw plate with cheese and deviled eggs and still you got fresh flowers, real wine carafes and linen every time. They made money then, no reason they cant make the money now? they just cry they arent and they are using all the excuses in the book so they can get more funding from the government to line their pockets. same goes for rail in America! Its a joke and a disgrace compared to all the other countries across the pond.

I will pay more to fly Alaska over other airlines because of the spectacular service I get from them. I have had some bad experiences with Alaska, but every single time the Alaska employees work to make it right. They know how to treat you!
Years ago I had a bad experience on a Delta codeshare flight, causing me to miss my Alaska connection in Seattle. The Alaska staff apologized for the experience on their codeshare, rebooked me, gave me some bonus miles, and gave me a coupon for food in the airport. The problem was with Delta but Alaska still took ownership and made it right!

I live in California and primarily fly Alaska Airlines these days. I've flow First Class, Premium Economy, and Economy; and I think they have good customer service and I've always been satisfied. I do miss Virgin America though. I really enjoyed the way they setup their cabins as well as their in-flight entertainment and electronic menu system. I was kind of hoping when Alaska acquired Vergin America's planes that they would go to those types of amenities throughout their fleet.

I flew through Seattle on my way home to Nashville (originated in Anchorage. I flew on Delta but I had about a 6 hour layover there in Seattle. I had a friend who knew a lady who worked in the Alaskan airlines first class lounge in Seattle and I was able to purchase access for my layover for around $30ish (if I remember correctly. Kind of steep but it sure beat hanging out at the gate. I don't know if they do that for everyone or if I now owe my friend a favor haha.

Alaska only treats their frequent flyers/1st class passengers well. The last time I took Alaska they ditched me in SFO when my inbound flight from LAX was delayed and I had to rebook on United. Next time chose American, Delta, or United. Even though AAL and UAL operate regional jets. They treat all their customers well. Delta operates mainline aircraft like A320s and B737s but they also have really good service. I would recommend United

It's always a bit jarring when I see people at the mall, or on the street wearing easy pants, or joggers, whatever they're called. It's a bit too casual. A flick of the wrist and ones balls could be exposed. And here you are in first class with pants like that. Either you fly first class all the time and you'e cool with that type of attire, or you got upgraded unexpectedly.

I flew Alaska Airlines once out of necessity. Although fully booked it was actually a very pleasant flight and I really liked the crew. The airline as a whole seems to take passenger safety seriously. Although I tend to favor full-service airlines, I would absolutely fly Alaska Airlines again. Particularly if they continue to upgrade the first class experience.

Wow, that first class is below par relative to other airlines. it's more like Business class not First Class. I was going to book First Class trip from PDX to LIH on Alaska, but after seeing this video (much appreciated for posting it, I'll go with another airline. First Class ticket is almost 3X the cost of coach on Alaska and I'm not seeing 3X the value.

I'm not too keen on the layout of 1st Class. It appears all Alaska Air did was gut out the old chairs and put new ones in and stuck up a Purple divider and name it 1st class.
Also, what was the hostess thinking bringing out 2 trays at once? Was that someone from economy class using the forward lavatory?
Not Impressed at all.

It looked nice! It's fanciful to think that Alaska will do much to update their burdensome Airbus fleet. They are a partisan for Boeing 737 as much as SouthWest and RyanAir! They are aggravated and want to ditch these (pretty new) Airbus planes to whoever can be coerced! It will take a while.

we fly Alaska a lot, we even have the Alaska credit card, that allows discounts on items and collect additional airmiles with them, we have flown to Hawaii many times and on many different airlines and find the service and friendliness the best on Alaska, and no, i do not work for them

Alaska is my favorite airline that I've flown. I've never had a bad experience with them. You probably know this already (or maybe not, but Alaska is now part of the Oneworld Alliance, so if you're a member, your miles get added to the account. Great video!

Welcome to Seattle! The A320 family with Alaska is actually being retired. The first one was actually retired a few weeks ago. Thank goodness it's going back to Proudly All Boeing. sort of. I believe they're keeping the Dash 8 and the ERJ-175.

I think the Alaska first class is even better on the 737s. I live on an island in Alaska so I fly them a lot. They are simply the best airline. The crew is always lovely and the planes are always spotless and well maintained. The lounges are great.

They do a have very good F Class product. My only qualm is the funky food. It is a bit too hipster for my tastes. In your example, there was a smoothie. Most people I know love them but want then customized to the exact requirements.

We are flying first class out of Dallas to Seattle later this year and I was trying to figure out if the seats have leg rests when they recline? Anyone know? If they don't then they really are not 1st Class in my opinion.

Nice Elevator at 1: 33! Sounds like a Boeing 757! That kink is for traffic reasons like they're lining up in one line of Planes in Seattle since they usually use the shortest farthest Runway aka 16R/34L

As a pretty consistent traveler of Alaska Airlines their LAX lounge is alright. However, If you do get the chance to go to the Sea Tac lounge off of concourse C the views are far more beneficial.

I'm always curious about the reaction of Brits to US carrier s. I was as surprised as you were after my first flt on Alaska! The food. service, and cleanliness of the plane was a surprise.

I absolutely adore Alaska airlines. They are by far the best airline Ive ever flown with and I fly constantly for work. I cant imagine going to another airline if I dont have to.
