Flying The Most Dangerous Airline in the World? Kazakhstan's Former Blacklisted Airline SCAT Air! three6ohchris: As I'm now watching this 3 or so years after it was originally uploaded, I've honestly got to say that I am very grateful that people constantly using those Borat quotes has essentially gone away and died off, even though I will admit that I had also participated heavily in the use of them, lol. I kind of feel like everyone did. LOL. Plus anytime that I hear the mention of Kazakhstan it does sort of trigger this need to break out and use a Borat quote. I'm thankful that I've not done that yet though.

Spent 3 years teaching in Kazakhstan. Many of the international staff had no airline choice other than Scat. I opted for the train. Thinking of trains, have you used any trains in Kazakhstan? I loved them. Why not take a ship across the Caspian, Baku to Aktau, and then take a long distance train east. You could make a whole series out of the journey.

5: 48 handing out pre-takeoff sweets. tranquilisers, because you survive a collision better if you're totally relaxed.
5: 53 In the event of an emergency, I'd be the first person off the plane. although, if the emergency is severe and energetic enough, we will ALL be the first people off the plane, ballistically.

5: 34 The window was rather predictably very scratched indeed. - Yes, obviously from all previous passengers, because a sudden feeling of impending doom had made them realise that they had made a terrible mistake, therefore they were trying to escape any way they could.

The CRJ 200 is a horrible airplane to begin with, let alone on one of the worlds most dangerous airlines and flying over water with no option to land quickly, ugh horrible. I'd be drinking before, during and after the flight to calm my nerves
reply

The clue is in the name SCAT I. e. that's what you should do rather than board one of their planes SCAT (I. e. Run away) and book an alternative flight with a much more reputable airline or simply take a different mode of transport altogether.

Looked for the video on how you got out og there, the next in chronological order is British Airways Boeing 747-400 Negus Retro Livery Delivery: BACK TO THE 80S!
SO did you delete it/make it private? How did you get home?

reply

Go from rust bucket CRJ 200, to a 737-200 with -300 engines, two nasty rust buckets, your a brave man. Those poor flight attendants gotta fly on that nasty rust bucket all day, do they get hazard pay
reply

All in all, it seems that you got what you paid for, discounting the delays and missed connections. That's the situation worldwide. Yes, the CRJ is like flying in a brick with square wheels.

SCAT! DO NOT FLY SCAT AGAIN! It is dangerous. I lived in Kazakhstan for 8 years. They SUCK and they are dangerous! You got lucky. Don't try it again! Air Astana is fine. That's it.
reply

Newsflash. Once an airliner is flying with its 3rd or 4th owner, it's not going to be updated inside. They're going to fly it until its hours or cycles are up and then that's that.

18: 10 - - - Correction - - - Webjet is not mexican, it was a low-fare brazilian airline regarded as the cheapest of the time and barebones
This 737 was PR-WJQ here

Just a little question. WHO blacklisted SCAT Air? If the Americans blacklisted it, that's worrying. If KAZAKHSTAN blacklisted their own airline, that's MUCH worse!
reply

it is the most disgusting airline ever! thank you for sharing and risking your life dude, thank god you didnt get some sort of disease from the seats or food!
reply

I didn't realize everyone in Kazakhstan was like Bohrat. I agree, nice view out of the aircraft's window ( The wing seemed to look perfectly intact.
reply

Scat is a word used for animal droppings, feces or poop, specifically for carnivorous wild animal droppings
not too bright folks not too bright

reply

Is that Antonov the last one in existence that was destroyed at Hostomel Airport before it could be moved to safety? Amazing aircraft that was.
reply

23: 10 why is there a MALEV aircraft in the background. That airline has not been in operation for like 10 years now if not more.
reply

Flying a plane is hard but you'd think the least they could do is make sure the passengers are on the right flight
: ')

reply

At least in the US, SCAT is another term for feces. I'd never want to fly on an airline is another term for animal poop.
