Try out Korean BBQ places, try the Loco Moco at pretty much any restaurant that sells Hawaiian food, in Honolulu Graces Inn and Liliha Bakery are amazing, and go to Zippy's for the Chili.
Go to the Leeward side or go to the North Shore for the beach. Waikiki Beach is extremely crowded and Ala Moana has rocks in the sand while Leeward and North Shore have beautiful clear blue waters.
DO NOT take a taxi. Take an uber if you have to, public transport is really good too. Best recommendation is either a friend or family member that lives here or rent a car. That's just your best option.
Anything else you wanna know, ask away. I ain't real good with tourist spots except places to eat and beaches, so sorry.
Oh, and if you can try and get a drive down to either Kaneohe Bay or Haleiwa. Gorgeous scenery throughout, colder weather, and not as crowded.

wow, so basically you pay a lot of money to stay in a hotel room. just to go to the beach? A skyscraper environment is not really a reason to go anywhere, so it must be the beach. The beach is a lot narrower than it was in 1981 when I was there. That was before flying was like entering a prison though. The seats on the planes were more roomy as well. Most of those skyscrapers weren't there in Honolulu. SO Hawaii has become like plane travel, crammed into a smaller, much more crowded, much more unpleasant space, with a lot more fat people than there used to be.

I have been to Oahu, Hawaii for 8 times and love it. As Australian, I felt that my heart had fall in love with this amazing topical place when I first visit and continues to visit afterwards. Where can you go amazing foods, cultures, fashions and shopping, friendly people and safety.

Ironically Waikiki is the worst beach to swim in because so many coral it really hurts your knees and feet! Watch out! Kailua is the best beach with gentle waves and no rocks.

The beach honolulu is beautiful must see blue of the ocean. It's not blue ocean. where blue of the ocean? Because. But it's beach beautiful.
