Interesting that you mentioned that 1 million people died during the genocide. I remember I always heard multiple millions of victims before so I was so surprised to hear that from you. I quickly did a google search on the subject and now I see some figures down to around 500, 000. What is going on? I'm happy to see that the numbers are keep going down as time passes and hope it will get even lower. I just wonder why were the numbers grossly over estimated multiple fold by the media or by organizations for so long? Is there an agenda going on? What do you think?

It's very safe. except nobody is afraid of pistols, because everyone has one. So the police have AK-47s.
Also, not long ago the AIDS patients were let out of hospitals, to form rape gangs to rape the women of Tutsi nationality. Which means Rwanda has a high incidence of AIDS. So. if you're not afraid of pistols and AIDS, then it's pretty safe.

I love the way you have described this city. I am doing a project about it, but all I heard was Genocide.
as you said, locals overcome that, forgave, and now are living happily, enthusiastic. this is an example to be follow. The city is beautiful so are the people. Good job on your video!

Hello Walter's world, thank you for the video. It's beautiful and informative except for one thing. Most Rwandans are not vegetarian like you said.
Maybe it's because where you visited there was a number of them who found meat expensive. Rwandans do actually love meat.

Just got back yesterday from Rwanda. Yes, I was surprised by how clean it was. I may disagree about the vegetarian emphasis though. Chicken and beef were at every meal. Enjoyed my time there and will return next year!
