St Augustine, Florida - Traveling to the First Coast Recently got back from the Daytona Turkey Hot Rod run in Thanksgiving weekend I haven’t been down to Daytona in about 30 years. ( I have visited Florida several times within that timeframe just not Daytona )
Just wow. I felt alive and relaxed and was able to turn my brain off overwhelmed with emotion for when the first time I went down when I was 19 years old with a bunch of friends
Just a heartfelt thank you for the ever encompassing complete travel videos that you do my next trip is to the Florida Keys thanks to your videos!

Uhhhhh. The oldest town in the USA is Oraibi, Arizona. The first coast of Florida Nope. Now, if this is only about Europeans, then we have Santa Maria de Ochuse 1559 (a name which is found today in the Ocese Band of the Seminole Nation. Then, Fort Caroline, 1564 (it was French. And coming in a close third. St. Augustine, 1565. So, is this video fake news Fake history Propaganda Sales Anyway, its not true. St. Augustine is old, but not as old as Oraibi. Haters. stop typing, its just a fact.

I've watched your Florida and Charleston videos so far. All excellent. Love your speaking style - always right to the point with meaningful information. And the information provided always includes a broad array of useful info like hotels, restaurants, attractions and details about each but you keep the video moving so as to stay fresh. Video from your bike, car, drone, on foot all keep everything visually attractive and useful. Very helpful. Thank you very much.

As a local my self this is a mix of everything in this town it is a very beautiful town. I would go to harry's to eat the food is to die for I could literally eat only the garlic bread and I wouldn't complain. Also go mini golfing me and my mom go some times it is very fun. Red train was superior to the old town trolley but since they switched it up and made it kind of weird lately where you cant get on and off again old town trolley is better as of right now.

I'm a Floridian living in France and have grown a bit uncomfortable with the way that Floridian cities are structured. The big roads, highways, unwalkable streets, ugly architecture (except Key West and north of Ft Lauderdale) are a big fat NO to me. But, I do miss my home. However, I am so happy St Augustine exists. I've been there; I really liked it. And it's a pretty walkable city (max 30 minutes from the suburbs. Really want to move there.

St Aug is my home, but sadly, im in Tennessee for awhile dealing with probate issues. Panama Hatties was the SPOT for all of us locals until they RUINED IT by rebuilding it all fancy. Sometimes folks just want simplicity over glitz, glamour, and flashy lights. Jacks is just down the road, and its as simple as they come, so many of us go there too. I miss home

Nice video but unfortunately our history is being destroyed now you have very lil history left due to this last two years bs nothing worth comeing to see anymore except the old fort rest ate hotels that greedy commissioners lined there pockets by selling our history out calling it racist and destroyed most of the history here

I live in Saint Augustine I provide photo tours and have been to most of the places visited in the video. Wonderful footage and narration I even learned a few new nuggets of information. I look forward to more of these informative videos as I learn more about coastal Florida.

This is hands down one of the best, if not the best, videos I have seen highlighting St Augustine! Ive been coming here since 1970 and am lucky enough to have a vacation home in St Augustine Beach. I even learned a thing or two in the video! Well done, thanks for sharing!

Great work on the video. I’ve visited here many many times when my mom lived near by. Was a great place after coming from NJ. Keep up the great videos, I also like the Sarasota one in 12/2020. Helps me check out the area when we move there.

BLM and antifa haven't ruined this city yet because their feelings were hurt over something that happened in the past nor will it so come to see this beautiful city with all its history. Low crime, low taxes and a great Governor is just a bonus.

Thanks again! We went to St. Augustine last month stayed in Crescent Beach. . Love that town! The Old Town Trolly tour was awesome how you can get off to see an attraction then jump back on and continue the tour on the next trolley.

Augustine was a criminal, a murderer.
Where there is terror, ’ said Augustine, there is salvation. .. Oh, merciful savagery! ’ The intellectual foundations for a thousand years of theocratic oppression were being laid.

I’m planning a trip to St Augustine in the next few months, really looking forward to it. Lived in Florida for thirty years and have never been. Thanks for this lovely video, I can’t wait to go!

Pensacola Florida was founded before St. Augustine. St. Augustine is the oldest continuously inhabited city. Pensacola was founded and later abandoned before being started up again.

Excellent video of St A. Am looking forward to seeing your video on JAX and the beaches, esp. Ponte Vedra, (and even a bit inland like Nocatee, Sawgrass, and Palm Valley. Semper Fi.

I’m doing this for a project, gotta build a structure to survive the hazards in this location. Going to use this footage for background footage but will give you credit.

You forgot to mention the Spanish gave the French the option to convert to Catholicism to live. 7 took that option. The others, as you said gave Matanzas its name.

One of my favorite places to visit. Actually went there on my first honeymoon in 1970 and then visited again on my honeymoon with my second husband in 2016.

Dont come to Saint Augustine. It’s over crowded and tourism is pushing locals out at rapid speeds. No more housing everything is air bnb

Florida is full of beautiful cities and things to do. Sadly I can’t afford even a brief visit, you’re charged for everything but the air!
