I lived in Surat Thani Province in 2015, and made a trip to Khao Sok and was very impressed with the landscapes, and the park itself. Easily one of the best national parks in Thailand, and I've been to almost every province. I regret not being able to visit Ratchaprapha Dam which is apparently really nice with Bungalows on the water etc, but apparently you have to arrange your own transportation to get over there. Good video.

I stayed there couple of years ago. Great place! There-s a massage spot in that village that was absolutely amazing. It was operated out of the masseuse-s house, and especially if you time it just right like I did, you get pampered while surrounded by the smell and the sound of a resting jungle. It is everything!

The homes on stilts are also to allow air flow and decrease the Heat inside the building=nature-s air-con. The only thing that would worry me in the bathroom would be spiders climbing in through the roof gap. lol

is the bungalow well air conditioned?
how do you use the toilet in such high heat if its open air. i think i will pass out with all that heat around me if my human nature is calling in the afternoon.

Hi Mark. I-m just curious, won-t there be a whole bunch of mosquitoes in the restroom at night time since there-s an opening. Usually after a nice big dinner I like the alone time in the restroom. -
