Most of us want to build muscle as fast as humanly possible. In fact, one of the most common questions I get asked is how to build muscle faster. But unlike in the movies, building muscle is often a frustrating and painfully slow process, which can make it difficult to tell if youre actually making progress. And unfortunately, this process only continues to slow down as you gain more experience. For example, a 140 lb beginner can expect to gain around 1. 5-2lbs of muscle per month in their first year of proper training. Fast forward to the intermediate stage and things slow down to around 1lb per month. Fast forward once again to the advanced stage and things slow down even further to the point where physical changes will become almost unnoticeable. So as you can see, muscle growth is a slow process, but overtime it does amount to big physical changes if you stay the course. And luckily, the literature suggests that there are a few things you can do to ensure that youre indeed making progress and building muscle as quickly as your body is capable of. Thats exactly what I cover in this video. The first thing you can do is to ensure youre properly implementing progressive overload, such that youre getting stronger overtime. The reason for this is because strength does seem to correlate with muscle size. Although this correlation is weaker in beginners, it becomes increasingly significant as you gain more training experience. Simply meaning that if you want to build muscle faster, you need to ensure youre gaining strength week to week. One method you can use is something called double progression, where you strive to increase the number of reps performed each set (e. g. 4 sets of 8 reps) before proceeding to add more weight (e. g. add 5 lbs and try to overtime accomplish 4 sets of 8 reps again. Now, you can definitely get very strong yet not noticeably bigger this is an indication that youre not doing enough volume. Therefore, the second thing you need to do to grow muscle fast is to ensure youre doing enough sets per week. You want to aim to hit roughly 10-20 sets per muscle per week. Beginners should start at the lower end and then gradually increase this as you gain more training experience. Lastly, you need to ensure that youre training hard enough to build muscle fast. In fact, you want to train such that youre reaching within 3 reps of failure at the end of each set. You definitely dont want to go to absolute failure (at least not often, but you do want to push yourself close to it during each set. Utilizing these three methods will enable you to build muscle faster than you were previously. And for an all-in-one evidence-based program that optimizes all your training variables AND nutrition such that youre able to progress as quickly as possible, then simply take my starting-point analysis tool below to find which program is best for you: LINK TO WRITTEN ARTICLE: : Strength and size studies: Double progression (reps vs load): Volume studies: Train close to failure: OTHER HELPFUL RESOURCES

What is I've been training for 3 years but was always in deficit or maintenance? And I've been progressing in weights the first 2 years, gained muscles, but then it kinda stopped of course. Now I'm about to start my first lean bulk ever. In my 3rd year of training. Am I considered a beginner or intermediate? Should I expect less muscle gain than the beginner? The thing is, now I don't know what to take as a reference. I know it's individual, but still. you know what I mean.

Yes, I too am guilty of jumping from weight loss plan to others as well, I think that I must have tried every single fat loss method that was available, but eventually not one of them made it easier for me to lose and maintain the weight off. I ended up trying for the very last time using the Custokebon Secrets because my buddy who told me great things about it and so far to date I've effectively lost 15 lbs within 4 weeks!

This DUDE is A LEGEND, for the past month and a half I've been doing exactly what he says. UPPER\LOWER split+ Calorie Deficit+ Low-intensity cardio twice a week, and I literally drop an inch and a half from my waist, gained TWO Freacking inches on my chest, the same goes with the rest of my body. The best part is that I haven't lost a single pound since IM SKINNY FAT.

To be honest I'm not quite sure why people complain that their muscles take a long time to grow. I'm a woman with hormone imbalance which means that I have more testosterone than normal women but obviously still way less than a man, and I can build muscles pretty fast. So why is it that so many people complain about their speed of muscle growth?

the content of the video is quite informative, not gonna lie I have heard of progressive overload, however, it was the first I have heard of double progression, the adequate volume thing, and training hard. So I liked your video and wanted to let you that you did a good job and thanks for the video as it helps me learn about bodybuilding.

Hello there! Thanks for this helpful video. By the way, I hear lots of people keep on talking about Okibetonic Secrets (just search it on google, but I'm not sure if it is really good. Have you ever tried Okibetonic Secrets? I've heard some awesome things about it and my cousin lost a lot of weight with it, but she refuses to tell me: (

Diet Plan called Custokebon Secrets kept showing up here on a lot of videos and I thought they were scams. However after my work buddy follow it, and finally lost lots of weight with it without starving herself. I'm persuaded. Don't take my own word for it, search for Custokebon Secrets on google.

My problem is always training to failure every set. Its the mind set of if I stop short of failure then I didnt train hard enough. But Ive starting to leave 3 reps in the tank and it feels better and can push more reps out the rest of the workout
