Remember that strong obliques (or rather a strong core) enables you to get more out of almost every other exercise and activity there is, including endurance, without increasing risk of injury. That means you will be better prepared to exercise more, enjoy activities more, and be more active in your daily life, which as far as I know is the single largest weight-controlling factor besides your diet.
If you think you can build too much muscle in your core, take a look at any top triathlete and see if that looks excessive. That's more or less as large as they possibly can get from core exercises. Anything larger than what they display is superficial muscle and/or fat.
Edit: My bad, these are superficiial obliques, not internal. Check out internal obliques for healthy strength without building volume.

People it's all about the mind muscle connection while 99% of these videos are good each individual person will have a slightly different technique because we are all different while the fundamentals are the same it's imperative that you feel that tension when you do you can mix up the speed and direction to what ever suits you best if you feel that tension that desired muscle working then chances are your doing something positive if you don't or you feel pain then make small changes

Im a teenage guy who has more feminine lower body in the sense that my waist curves more inwards but Im also really into rowing so my lats are pretty wide so in my rowing uni my body looks kinda like an x shape, Id like to adjust it so I have a wider waist and I know my obliques are quite underdeveloped and i have what people call thunder thighs whats a good and safe way for me to adjust my body to look more like a v shape

I find working the obliques destroys my V physic and they definitely do grow substantially. I don't do roids and it will 100% make me more square. I think this obviously varies substantially person to person. I have pretty big lats but my serratus anterior are lacking abit. maybe that's the issue

good routine and workout video. Easy to follow. I think the one thing people tend to forget about abdominals is they need to keep contracting. It's not enough to just move the lower body, you have to activate the abs like every other muscle needs to be activated on the body. Good video!

I actually would love a thicker waistline. Im an athlete, not some gym bro, or bodybuilder. I use my body for performance, strength and conditioning. People with the mindset of having a weaker waistline are useless.

Yeah thats not how it works. Definition depends upon body fat percentage. As long as youre training the core well you will have the musculature. But if youre not lean enough you wont be defined

in video - don't forget to work on lats otherwise your waist gonna look wider
me - i worked a lot on lats so my oblique looking skinny.
but definitely going to try these exercises

I don't know why you are showing a woman concentrating on her obliques. It's obvious for women, they need to focus on their butt and thighs. Their obliques are rarely a problem for them

You cant workout your obliques or any part of your body fast. Itll never work and youll just be wasting your time listening to idiots like this.
