Amazing tutorial. I wish I had seen this last month though. I'll definitely use this technique in the future. This is when the client realized he needed a hair cut after he saw the photos. Just happened to me a month ago. I told them, I'll retouch his hair to look like he got it cut.

in the older versions of photoshop, i used to make sharp hair using smudge tool. but in newer versions, smudge tool works different. what's the problem here? how can we make sharp thorn-like hair in newer versions of photoshop?

Ok, that was good. Now maybe consider doing a video where you shave the stubble. Adding a beard would be easy, but getting good skin tones while removing the stubble would be awesome.

I do not agree with your technic that you removed messy hair, this is not the easy way. this technic is a very good way that you did always, but not simple or easy that you told.
