This will be tough.... i owned sd, rog ally, and now LEGO. Between the 3 i like the lego the most. Maybe a personal preference but it will be hard for msi to beat the legos amd power efficiency right now. Maybe on future updates but intel's weakness is power efficiency. True msi claw has a 53w tdp but that's because intel is power hungry. Seeing the performance as well from another reviewer i can conclude for now that the lego is better in performance... again maybe on future updates msi claw will become better but so as the other handheld will have their own updates tat will make them better as well... even without my lego i might go with ally or sd before msi claw...
Edit: that powerbrickis horrendous...
And... even if they are all handheld consoles msi claw pretty much took insipration from the ally no doubt about that. It is a clear copy of the ally...

i am guessing those who designed the Legion Go ergonomics, were using it like I usually do, as in with my hands resting on my knees, in which case its very comfortable as you hold it from the sides and back, as opposed to wrapping your palm around it. But I do agree, those sharp edges do make it uncomfortable if you are playing with your hands resting on a table. Its a good thing the controllers are detachable as they could be replaced with first or 3rd party replacements, without a redesign that would make it something current users could benefit from, unlike the pitiful grips on the back of the Ally.

All of the current handhelds are for people that simply have no other real option as they travel constantly or only play non-demanding games, low settings, non locked 60fps, no dlss is unacceptable to me, when handhelds can do 1440p, rock solid 60/100 fps mid/high settings without being as hot as the sun ill be seriously interested

Good ergonomics/grip , oled panel , full size analogs for true controller feel, good power
I’ve had every one of these handhelds, and it seems like each one of them is always missing one or the other. Idk why it’s so hard to put all of that together and get it right.
Just looks like a black ally with the same bad ergonomics.

This is going to be a flop for MSI, surely they tested it against the Z1 Extreme before it went into production If not, it will bomb. Nobody wants an Intel APU in a handheld. It will most likely run too hot, needs more wattage to perform and will be held back by the lacklustre support from Intel.

For an easy VRR check, in Windows Settings -> Display -> Graphics -> Change default graphics settings. If the device supports VRR, you should see a toggle to enable/disable Variable Refresh Rate. If you open it on Rog Ally the toggle is there. Can you please confirm for all of us

So uh it looks uh good.
Uhhhh I might actually uhh get one.
I uh like hand helds but uh always been weary uh about getting one because uh how much you need to uh lower settings but this seems to uh look really good.

I don't understand why msi decided to use a laptop charger for a handheld no wonder they didn't include a carrying case your going to need a mini backpack to carry the msi claw and that brick of power adapter.

Wondering if that dock issue is similar to the Ally psu issue they patched out where chargers other than the official didn’t activate the highest TDP settings.

It's so inefficient ! I get similar result on my SD in CP2077 with almost half the wattage. Intel is still behind and I'm not talking about the Z1 Extreme.

I've been considering buying a handheld for a while now, but every single reviewer seems to turn me off whichever device I'm looking at.
