The Asus and Noctua collaboration continues, with the announcement of the GeForce RTX 4080 version at CES 2023. While we don't have performance stats yet, that doesn't stop Keith from giving us a tour of this lovely graphics card. dra6o0n: 2:19 - They forgot to mention that there's a vapor chamber with that heat sink, like in most Nvidia high end cards. Kinda odd people compared AMD and Nvidia in cooling solution but one is using only traditional heatsinks and the other is using vapor chambers with their heatsinks, giving them 10 30% higher efficiency rating in cooling, at a 50% higher price.
You can tell because the heatsink is attached to a slab of metal that has curved edges on the sides, which means it's a hefty vapor chamber.

What I like about these Noctua versions isn't so much the fans they put in them, which are good, but the fact that I can easily them out for higher RPM industrial versions of the fans, and run the power of them to a separate power source. As far as fan noise is concerned, I'll turn up the audio volume. Being able to move that much air that fast means I can potentially over clock higher. Also, the fans are easily user replaceable for failure replacement.

Would be nice if the premium on them was reasonable, but it never is.
A real shame. The design is great, but because of Noctua greed, on top of Asus greed, on top of Nvidia greed, barely any will be made.

It looks pretty but the way its priced nobody will buy that since the 4090 is not much more expensive but alot better, but great design, if there was like a case that looks like a tree trunk id love that

That brown colour scheme is a gimmick at this point, even Noctua knows about it otherwise they wouldn't have bothered with a whole blacked out lineup.

Noctua should also do it for AMD cards. Not just Nvidia. Not just the 2nd highest tier of their cards either but the 4090 and TI models too.

The Geforce RTX logo on the side is the old one, makes me think they didn't really change much from the previous version.
