T-Mobile story: I am not aware of anything like the mobile phone operator being involved in advertising in the UK or Spain, which is where I have experience. That would really annoy me. I avoid all advertising. Brexit, GDPR: I am British and was vehemently against Brexit because I knew that the whole point of it was deregulation so that standards and rights could be reduced, on the altar of profit and Tory ideology for the Tories and their friends. I really didn't want the UK to get more like the US. I also didn't want my European Union citizenship to be stolen from me. There are all sorts of rights enjoyed by EU citizens that are now lost to UK citizens.

Speaking of disinformation, AdNauseum is a browser addon that clicks a certain percentage of ads you see to mess with ad personalizers. It conflicts with UBlock Origin and is often out of date, but on sites I trust not to feed me ads with malware in them, I keep UBlock Origin enabled, and disable it so AdNauseum can do its work on more trusted sites.

Would I rather my data be mined by the government or private companies? Presumably the government already has or can easily have access to all data a private company has on me. So essentially, the question is, would you rather only the government has access to that data or are you ok with both the government and a private company having it?

19: 35 about dubai, this has been implemented from atleast 2 years, if you want to travel to some countries then you need to have a sticker on your passport saying that you've registered with the iris scanner, then its optional if you want to skip the line by going to iris scanner or just doing the normal thing. and waiting in line.

4: 50 -If you're technical enough to understand what we're talking about, you're technical enough to just use Windows Defender. -
That had me chuckling. One of the things that Microsoft actually got right. I'm just glad I have the Pro version and enough knowledge to get rid of the godforsaken automatic updates using group policy.

Hello Techlore Community and welcome to the weekly report. We had Aydan edit this week's video, so you'll notice some production changes. We're tinkering around with different styles so let us know what you like/dislike to improve the reports over time!

That lawsuit against Google about incognito mode is bonkers. It actually says on the screen that you may still be tracked. What more do they want, flashing lights around the warning. pfft.

So some people sold iPhones with their own software suite for thousands of dollars that they claim offer greater privacy. Shhh! You might give Apple some ideas!
