I played with the Epic Pen for about 30 minutes. It stopped working after one minute and it blocked some Windows programs, so I could not use these programs. I went to Task Manager and I found two ghost versions of the Epic Pen. When I stopped them, everything went back to normal. When I used mouse wheel to change line width, the Epic Pen bloated my desktop icons to enormous size. The Epic Pen does not work well with high contrast Windows colors. Text tool is so buggy that it is useless. The most useful tools are arrow and ellipse.

The issue is how to draw with the mouse, which is not idea because it wont be good draw and be fast. Is there a pen (hardware) I can use to draw, like I am drawing on white or blackboard? Zoom, MS Word, Excel all have good drawing tools now. No need for 3rd party software. If you how do I use a pen to draw, I would appreciate the reply. I do not have smart phone, nor tablet etc. just simply old desktop with no touch scree.

Hi Kevin, thank you so much for this idea of using epic pen. I just want to ask why the the writings cannot be seen in recording at obs. I also tried zoom, same effect, I can see the epic pen written on my pc screen but my guest in zoom cannot see the writings. I wonder why you are able to record the epic pen. What could have been the problem in my case. Thanks

My pc does not show -windows graphic capture' in capture method in obs. My pc is ryzen 5 g3400. I have no extra graphic card. Please solve it. I cannot use epic pen in window capture because it does not show -windows graphic capture' in capture method . I can use epic pen in display capture.

hey Kevin while Using Epic Pen in the PDF file the pen marker is not getting exact line which I have drawn in original pdf & in OBS recording the difference of almost 1 inch where I draw the line i have tried a lot but not happens. Now This is a challange for you also can u do plz?

Great tutorial as always!
As an alternative to Notepad, you can use a MS PowerPoint blank/black slide for drawing. If you use PowerPoint presentation mode you get a totally blank or black screen (without the menu), depending on the color you choose for your slide.

I followed all the steps. When I draw on the screen i see the drawing, but nothing appears on the canvas. I have the epic pen window capture as the top source. Any advice?
