I have a Very Old Iomega Barracuda External Gard Drive. I have followed ALL the mentioned Advice notes in this Video and yet Nothing works at all. I also bought a USB 3.0 Sata&IDE Hard Drive Converter as I thought that this would Help. I connected the Converter to the Barracuda then to the PC. Turned the PC On and WOW I could see all the Lost Files on the Iomega once again. I then ran a Virus Check straight away on the Found Files on the Iomega. After running the Virus Check I can No Longer see the Iomega External Drive at all. Not even Disk Management can see the Drive at all. I have tried ALL the Variations on this Video and Nothing seems to Bring back the Iomega Drive at all. It is working with the Drive Converter as it keeps Buzzing away and Making Clicks now and again as though it wants to do something, But Nothing Showing Up On This Pc, No other Drives Visible anywhere. I was So Happy before running the Virus Check but Now Back to Seeing Nothing again. Can Anyway Help at ALL. Appreciated for your time and The Above Video has been followed to every Option. Many Thanks.

You seem to be a very kind guy. And you really know how to present yourself. But as I'm in a certain point of my existence in which I already know that images are nothing and one day without water in Sahara it's the real thing that means everything, because it's gonna cost the life, so, I'm gonna tell you this: I'd like to understand why you guys so called technicians make tutorials recommending the user to use restore point. This shit usually doesn't fix the problem and the machine never gets the same again after doin it. By the way, to fix that issue mentioned in the video all the user have to do is install Alcohol 120%. And I'm not some doushebag trying to sell anything. Just tired to see tutorials giving misleading instructions.

Let me share my problem encountered and how I fixed it.
1. Drive D is not showing up. So I followed the first step.
2. I see the -hidden- partition but the file system is RAW.
3. I right-click to the RAW partition and clicked -format- and make it NTFS.
4. After the formatting is done, I right-click again the partition and clicked on -change driver and paths...-
5. I assigned D and now the system can now read the -hidden- drive partition.
Just sharing. Might as well work on someone else' situation.

I think I have a worse problem. I was playing a game and suddenly my computer just shut off. I smelled a weird burning smell coming out of my vents and I thought my whole computer died. I was able to turn it back on and it booted up just fine but then I noticed a bunch of blank icons on my desktop. I opened up This PC and where drive D should have been there was a box that says CD-ROM instead. Disk Management shows no drive D and system restore did nothing. I'm assuming that my drive D just died on me.

If anyone did this and didn't work, like me, check you Sata cable, look if it's connected into the hdd/ssdh/ssd and then check if it's connected in the motherboard. Mine was a little bit out of the motherboard slot, I only saw that when I pushed the thing with a screwdriver and it went in a little bit. Now my D drive is showing up. Damn I was so pissed.

If these steps do not work please check if you have installed -Intel Rapid Storage Technology- program. This comes with the driver updates. If you open this program you will be able to see D Disk on the right side. From -status- menu there is a -manage- part and click -delete- then approve. That worked for me. I hope this will work for you too.

what if it's not detected but when I reboot it is? could it be mother board issue? hard drive issue?
one fan header is dead on the ASUS Z97-P, Socket-1150 motherboard. the PC was new in 2015. The D drive on my PC is a Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5-, OS drive is a SSD Corsair SSD Force Series GS 240GB 2.5-

second option worked for me, if your pc looks like its not starting up and is constantly loading, do a manual shut down by holding the power button and start it up again. For some reason i had to redownload chrome but no biggie.

My second hard drive is not showing in my computers.
And in disk management it is showing as missing. What should I do? I thought it was due to sata cable but no i chnged the sata cable but still its not showing.
