My PC sits where I look at it all day. I've used several Corsair Carbide Air 540 for builds for friends and family, alas it seems to be discontinued. Fractal North, while elegant, was too small. My latest build is in the King 95 and I made the HUGE mistake of buying Lian Li Uni Fans. Those fans are still in their boxes as the instructions do not match the product and the fans are not on their warranty product page, so no way to contact the rumored Lian Li customer service. I will NEVER buy anything from Lian (garbage) Li again. It could be bloody well free and I would not use it.
The build quality of the King 95, I feel, is top notch. Perhaps its my fans and set up, but I do not hear my PC. Cromax rear exhaust, 2 more top exhaust, 2 RGB Montech bottom intake and Artic LF 3 280 side exhaust. I live in Oregons high desert, so dust mitigation is a huge factor. Being able to use glass during the winter and mesh during the summer is a bonus. My (noisy) room AC blows directly into the front. Just looked at AMD software and CPU is 48.2-48.5 and GPU is 44 with hotspot at 50 while commenting (ASUS X670E (can contact ASUS) 7800X3D and HellHound 7900XTX. My bottom line: Nice to look at and it does what I need it to do.
Shirt design suggestion: Your GN logo on the front left side (where a shirt pocket would be). The back: A listing of the charities you're donating to. Each could be themed like your current back of the charity T-Shirt. The current front is a bit busy for my taste.

I found that on the King 95 non-pro, I experienced better performance after removing the back fan and relocating it to the top. Additionally, taking out the swing fan holder and remounting the side fans on the other side panel also improved performance. I really like this case; it's a pleasure to work with. One thing that none of the reviewers, including you, mentioned, is the silicon port dust covers. Also, the swing-out fan mount can be easily removed by pulling up, and the swing-out side fan/drive/cable door is removable by pulling down and out. It's an excellent case for installing a custom loop. The quality for the price and all the little inclusions brought me so much joy. I still remember when a sub $100 case was a health hazard, cutting you with all the sharp edges.

Your comment about fans and how they affect case price was a funny thing but also relevant. It's tricky because you can't always tell if you will like fans until you actually have them. I bought a Lian Li Lancool II case and it came with fans. Which is great. But they made a horrible droning noise, which is NOT great. I had to replace them because I couldn't stand the noise they made. I replaced them with different Lian Li fans, and the replacement fans don't make horrible droning noises, despite both being Lian Li. So the case cost me more after having to add fans, and now I also have extra fans I have no use for nor desire to use. I don't know how to avoid this type of fan lottery without being able to actually experience fans in operation before buying them.

This would be a choice case of mine if you could flip it like Bequiets new case as all glass cases has the panel on the wrong side for me as my PC ges on my left due to windows and lighting in room. Also if you water cool having inside part upside down is no issue to cooling. So currently planning build it either Bequiet case or a Jonsbo T6 which is minted and no US reviewer have ever feature Good Chinese Cases, which living in EU is more relevant to use on the budget side. Like Corsair in UK they are shit over priced junk or way to pricey. I really want to see an unpaid Jonsbo t review even though in US it is hard to get hold of as it is here only Alliexp china has them.

From the cases ive used, i found the 95 runs far cooler than traditional designs. By running a 280 AIO in the side (push-pull), intake fans in the bottom, extract top and back, my GPU and CPU runs a lot cooler AND quieter than even an extreme custom loop setup i had in a phanteks case. So i do think there are ifs and buts to this. I get why Steve takes the approach he does - you literally cant create a fair comparison or have the time to test everything. But the layout of these, in my opinion does give the user the potential for huge thermal improvements over a normal case which is pointed out here. Great review tho and as ever entertaining with the super nerdy humor :)

I just gotta say for the Noctua fans: They're 100% justified in SFF.
when your case only has 3 fans and your entire build is thermally constrained, having the best static pressure and airflow is a world of difference.
in my case I have a 4080 and a Ryzen 8700x on a single 280mm rad open loop, with a 120 supplying the PSU and VRM cooling.
going from Corsair Maglev fans to a pair of Noctua IPPC 3000 fans dropped my water temps by 5c idle at the same fan RPM and perceived volume (30-25c 20cA), and massively dropped the high end temp down from 50c to being able to keep it at 35-40c depending on fan speed. It was a very noticeable reduction.

It isn't cheaper to manufacture a square. Lol! It is a matter of die or tooling production, and it all costs the same. Even getting a curved piece of tempered... At 250 pieces, it is the same price as ALL 3 and 3.5 mm tempered glass. The soft edge/corner Montech 65 Pro didn't do as well in real world reception testing.(I participated!) Folks are still into sharp lines, not soft curves. It's like comparing a 2004 Daimler Caravan/Voyager to a 2024 Sprinter. Folks don't buy soft curved... Anything these days. Which is a shame, cuz the case looks great in certain settings! Lol!

It seems like Montech's move away from the squirkle aesthetics and rounded edges might speak more to manufacturing simplicity than any fundamental design philosophy. The tension between airflow optimization and design aesthetics is a recurring theme, but perhaps it's not just about thermalsthere’s also the question of user experience and long-term value. It's fascinating how seemingly minor design tweaks, like steel rail obstructions, can lead to significant performance shifts, showing just how intricate and layered case design can be.

First ever time built my own PC and I went with the Blue King 95 Pro with stock fans and 360 radiator AIO for the 7800x3d . Messed up with my powersupply size and was forced to remove the inner panel for hiding cables and I think it helped with thermals a bit, though I did also vertically mount my 7900 XT and I'm not sure how that affects thermals
I really appreciate y'all doing these vids. Honestly I must've watched and re-watched 20 of your videos on cases, CPUs and GPUs before making my purchases.

Sorry to say that but these videos are very detailed and require attention - Geometry lessons and tangents regarding unrelated corporations don't exactly help keeping up. I would suggest another fan test: populate them all and add that to the results list. Might as well as testing evidently random titbits that come with the case wont work usually out, will it Consumers interested in a case will only be served longterm by you pushing vendors to change their approaches. Wont help today.

Here's a random question I can't seem to find an answer to.
I have a 14700k, currently on DDR4/3600mhz, two of my sticks died and I'm wanting to upgrade to DDR5 (getting gifted a used z790 from someone converting to AMD)
its an ASUS Tuf z790.
Can it handle all four ram slots with 4x16gb 7200mhz CL34 ram
Why doesn't anyone offer 2x32gb 7200mhz DDR5 yet
I need 64gb and the games I play are very ram intensive in both frequency and size (Flight and racing sims, in VR)

Been using my Montech Sky Tower GX for a week now, added one exhaust fan and with no other cooling besides my AK400 for the CPU. I'm consistently running 10c cooler than I was in my H500. Build quality was pretty good. I have one complaint about one of the little metal clips that is for cable management having a solid crack splitting it, but it still function fine so I'll give it a pass. My first time using Montech, seems pretty solid for the price.

squircle sounds like some kind of demented tree-dwelling rodent.
Now that ive got that out of my system, what case would you recommend for someone who is in love with the haf xb evo, and is still using one Ive been running mine vertically with some feet on the side since it first came out (im a trend setter lol).
Or do I just mod it some more with usb-c front panel connectors and whatnot to bring it into the modern age somewhat

the King 95 is an extremely well built case for its price range, more well built than almost any other cases that I've used in that price range and they are also often on sale, more so at microcenter for certain colors just depending on the day you go. In my opinion its one of the best price/quality ratios that ive ever seen on a case, esp for the fish tank design

Everyone at this point is just blatantly copying existing cases. I mean like both of those cases are basically a cheaper version of the Lian Li cases.
I still remember the days when Thermaltake blatantly copied Caselabs's designs. And then sued them.
Even went and try to buy the show model off caselabs for them to copy it themselves lmao.

Yeesh. I wouldn't have thought it was a crappy case at first glance. In many ways it looks identical to the other side-intake cases on the market. All it took was a number of tiny little design choices and suddenly it's at the bottom of the charts, dragging ass and roasting silicon. This is why reviewers are invaluable.

I really dig the recent trend towards dual chambers, I'm pretty sure I'll never buy another traditional design case. I'm just waiting for someone to put a radiator/ AIO mount in the second chamber (where the PSU goes, away from the mother board and its heat generating components)
Oh, and the squircle thing was funny af

i was thinking for those 14/12cm fan rail, they should just put the 12cm deeper than the 14cm , adding bend, this way if you use the 14cm, the fan is not again the 12cm as there is some space so it would impact air flow less than if they are on the same plane.
interesting case and really interesting review as usual

I am ordering the King 95 Ultra and plan to get rid of that back door/inner panel when I build in it. I am leave the fans on the back wall and don’t see a need for that other panel in my case. If I was going to swing the fans to the front and add more then I can see needing it.

The 65 Pro, lacking the floor fans will OBVIOUSLY have worse thermals than the 95 Pro. The 95 Pro with a 10 fan controller and curved corner glass is Worth the extra $. Squircle is just an Apple excuse to charge more. Side fan blockage Use a drill or Dremel or ignore.
