Gotta love how on the nose Razer is with their Razercon, because Razer is the biggest conman in gaming, ridiculously overpriced products that are all trash quality, with some of the worst after-sales support imaginable and the dumbest excuses.
I once bought a pair of Razer headphones for 149.99 here in Greece. Didn't mishandle them whatsoever, since I'm always incredibly careful with all my devices (it's how even my 20 years old devices are nearly mint condition), yet they stopped working within only 2 months, because despite the price, the quality was that of 10 bargain bin headsets. Turned them in with the warranty that was 1 year and they told me they had to be sent to the US for testing and repairs. They kept them at the Razer place for 11 months, then returned them to me, unfixed, citing that the warranty had expired. Never bought any Razer stuff after that when they had already screwed me over before on a mouse and keyboard combo!
Bought a Skiller SGH2 for 18 after that, which I still have 8 years later and working perfectly, with amazing sound quality for both the audio and the mic!

Regarding the ergonomics questions with the Razer BoomSlang Mouse: I fell in love with the old Logitech MX510 -> MX518 back in the day when they were new and used the same form factor ever since - for example with the G5 and then the G5 Refresh. (From the latter I still have 2 newly packed as a backup)
Sadly the newest release (MX518 in 2018) was improved technically and had the same form factor, but lacked in the quality department (Material choice). I was thinking to unpack a new G5 Refresh, but then the G400s released which improved on the material choice.
It just fits my hand perfectly and feels the most comfortable and useful. Never had an issue. Only wish they brought back the weight gimmick (choose your own weights in the mouse) and the old materials. Sometimes you just dont need to improve a well design :) Closest to that is my G603 which I use for my laptop on the go (Wireless) - it isnt the classic style, but comes close. Still prefer the g400s of my desktop.

It would be nice if you included mentions of boards that have extrenal temperature sensor headers. Not of much use for air cooled builds, but for custom loops they make a major difference in noise levels and account for the fact that water doesn't instantly cool down as your CPU/GPU does. It's hard to find motherboards with those headers and just like a 7 segment postcode readout they are extremely inexpensive and absurdly useful. Hopefully that would give some push for manufacturers to keep including them. Especially Asus who has been progressively removing them from their boards over the past few years.

Very much appreciate what you do. Currently I am sitting here by candlelight watching this video because of Hurricane Milton. Estimated time for power is 10-17 11:45pm. It has been slightly cooler recently, but during the day it is absolutely brutal. No gas anywhere. No grocery stores open, although I heard today Publix is open the next town over unclear if traffic lights are working. Rolling the dice with your life because everyone just sucks at driving. FFS if traffic lights are out it’s a 4-way stop! Thanks for the entertainment during this very sweaty time in my life.

Do these people have their case open and their head inside of it
If you think you can hear those fans out of sync, I suggest putting your PC in another room
Noctua is trying to improve on perfection.
The sound they're trying to get rid of is the same as the frequency Wawa's that happen when you turn a guitar string using another.
It's funny to see everyone pick sides in the computer hw space the same way they do with consoles and phones.

Razer sucks, never liked that garbage brand, that sells e-waste for much $... On other hand i like Noctua.. I just found a deal 3 weeks ago for x2 G2 fans the round ones, for 39$ for both fans, used for 2 months, full warranty... Did also replace mah original NH-D15 with NH-D15 ChromaX, and got also Arctic MX-6 paste.. Now mah 5800x3D have a bit lower temps then before...

To big to fail is being shown not to be true as the corporate greed becomes worse. How do you get everyone to use digital everything when the tech is failing massively. A new tech company should be formed for the people by people who truly understand what the people want at good prices. This corporate greed/climate alarmist model will bring them all down in time. Tick Tock.

I totaly don't agree with your take Razer on % wise in temperatures.
You cannot cool anything down - using air - lower than your sorroundings temperature. You're not existing in near-zero absolute temps to convert anything to 0K.
I know how it looks from scientific standpoint, but come on - 80C vs 50C indoors with ambient temp of 20C is 50% reduction. (DeltaT).

I'd like to see what a court has to say on the % cooler thing, as the only professional way for anyone with basic knowledge of thermodynamics etc is to use Kelvin if you want to use that kind of language. I'd be surprised if any scientist or whatever that is brought in would do anything but agree that it's either misleading or a false statement.

I am calling this already.
Someone will buy 2 Nintendo clocks, and reprogram one to play 'Kirby Air Ride Music: Item Bounce' on a lower volume. Then he will put one on the left side, another on the right. While 'Coconut Mall - Eurobeat Remix' plays from the Nintendo Switch 2 during the download of the newest Mario game.

My Dad's works for Phillips, They just shut down their branches and laid everyone off or offered early retirement buyouts with a 401k pump. He was able to score us 2 Herman Miller chairs for us. My ass is in it now. Luckily he works online now with the company and overseers material adherences and regulations.

99% Alcohol is available at your local Auto Parts store. Look for a yellow bottle labeled Heet, Gas-Line Antifreeze & Water Remover. It leaves less residue than Isopropyl Alcohol, as Isopropyl only comes in 70-91%. I really only use it for solder flux clean up. Just a little tip, if you're OCD like me.

The Razer stuff is incredibly funny. They can't even get their audio software to work correctly. Their Synapse program only works part of the time and even when it is working, it has a habit of minimizing your games if you are playing in full-screen... Built for gaming, my ass. Pun intended.

According to ubisoft, users 'got comfortable not owning their cd collection or dvd collection'.. not really.. many just stopped buying. Some videogames in the future being offered only on streaming services will be inevitable as the big push. It might work for the next generation

Hopefully your review of Arrow Lake isn’t softball and calls out the high power draw still and them testing both AMD and 14th gen with strict power limits while ARL is unlocked.and call out their lack of DIRECTLY comparing power draw of Arrow Lake and Zen 4 or 5.

Razer is such a garbage company. All their products feel cheap as hell/ have poor materials, require copious amounts of bloatware, and don't even function all that well - yet people still pay absurd amounts of money for their shit. I'll never understand it.
reply

I wonder if Razor will be coming out with a special add-on to the ass-haptic chair thingy. Maybe a butt-plug full of sensors that can even register and let you know if you are coming down with the latest C-19 strain! :D What will they think of next
reply

As much as I would like to believe the Nintendo clock requires a subscription (because it confirms my views of them as a company) that doesn't appear to be true. You can purchase it early if you have one but you don't need one for it to function.

As far as I have seen, only the ASUS Tuf has 5.1 sound in the 870 line up, all other has an simple sound out mic in and an optical out. This means only that can run my old but fully functional 5.1 Creative soundsystem. It narrows it down..

4:45 I'm glad to see that you're not going to donate to the scam that is the American Red Cross. I'm in south Louisiana, and I can't tell you how much they've mismanaged money, response, and resources for hurricanes from Katrina to today.
