Beyond the fact that a developer might go away, there's also the fact that the platform might go away. About 20 or so years ago I bought Mount and Blade from the GameStop online platform. That platform got shut down, and my access to the game I paid for is gone. Now, that was a small platform, I'm sure Steam isn't going to shut down any time soon, but what happens if Ubisoft decides their online platform is costing too much money and it's better to just have Steam distribute If cross save isn't set up, too bad, you just lost your games. If a game doesn't have physical medium, I don't buy it, simple as that. Sure, I might still buy digital for some things, but if the media doesn't have physical I can buy should I need to, I'm not risking it.

I'm not sure where to leave this question, so I'll leave it here, and maybe someone will answer it so I'll know what to do.
I plan on building a new PC, mostly just changing CPUMBRAM(because everything else is OK). I'm planning to buy either 7800x3d or 14700k. And the question is: "If I buy a 7800x3d, and a good mobo(not high end), let's say ASUS ROG x670e-f, will I be able to put a new zen5 9000x3d CPU in there, let's assume it'll have 12 or 16 cores, and will the RAM issues we have right now with 7000 series be gone Will I be able to use four sticks of ram Or is it a bad idea to futureproof at all, and I should buy 14700k or 7800x3d with a cheaper motherboard

ID-Cooling wasn't value-focused with me by sending me a defect. Might just end up going back to Enermax, since that lasted me 4-5 years but now they only sell a BASIC version of the Liqmax III so I don't know. My gaming PC with a Hexcore Ryzen 5 5600X, 3060 Ti and 32 GB of DDR4 has been down since Black Friday of 2022 but my Beelink SER 6 Pro mini PC with an Octocore Ryzen 7 7735 HS, Radeon 680M and 32 GB DDR5 has been getting me by just fine. Though I haven't been playing PC games whatsoever in a long time and easily have 100 if not 200 games in my backlog of the games I would actually play. Especially since I'm a Pirate

There are lots of TV shows and movies you can only get on the high seas because places just don't license them anymore.
Game service subscriptions have their place as it can allow people to test the waters of some games before buying them or the people that play lots of new games every year, they could end up spending way less on the a sub than buying each game. It should never completely replacing buying the game (and not the whole "buying a license to use" BS).

Personally esthetically I think the wood frame/grain on electrical components is horrible. Brings me back to growing up with Tvs in wood cabinets, stereos ect. Has the "Fallout" feeling to it lol.
On the other hand I am glad there is more of a variety of products on the market to try to please everyone!
Great video and thank you for the news updates GN!!!!!
Stay well.

Maybe Ubisoft should get used to people not buying their games, I have no problem with the subscription service if the game you are creating is awesome(I'm very upset with MsWord), or changes the industry in some way. Mario, street fighter, Mario Cart, FFIV, FF7,FFX, Halo, WOW, but don't keep doing the same thing and complain about results.

I'd love to see your take on Riot Games Vanguard and League of Legends. Also that due to Chinese law any information gathered on a chinese companies users has to be forwarded to Chinese military. Being that China owns Riot and its mandatory low level process anticheat that runs all the time......interesting to see your investigation on that

I’d like to pay for a library forever, rather than owning my favourites. I like also the fact that my favourite games can be eliminated from said library by some money and power greedy wannabe Kotick.
Ubisoft is the living proof: there is always a way to beat your lowest moment.:)

There are a lot of movies i can not watch any more, in a "comfortable modern way"
I dont want video games keep going the same track
I result to: buy the game, and pirate the game. In a way for me to feel comfortable playing it
It's crazy that we have come to this

Give a shoutout to Ross from Accursed Farms / Game Dungeon who is trying to get a class-action lawsuit against Ubisoft going to force them and the rest of the gaming industry to not arbitrarily revoke access to games that people paid perpetual licenses for!

I wouldn't even call those a price drop... 7900 XT needs to drop to 599 , XTX to 699. I already paid close to $1,300 for a 7900 xtx nitro months ago. Would be nice to snag a 7900 XT nitro for the secondary rig.. But not for anymore then 600ish

Car manufacturers are also introducing subscription models for certain functions. Wait until the engine is going to run on a subscription. You buy the car, you buy the fuel (or charge) but you will have to pay for running the engine.

Wood Accents returning is a further proof of style cycles. been about 2 generations since it was quite prevalent 40 years . Going to be nice see cases match old furniture much more closely. As opposed to black/white/gray and glass.

The claw made me think of Liar Liar. Also it kind of bums me out the new prince of persia game is Ubisoft. Really don't want to buy it on the Ubisoft launcher for PC, will probably just wait and hope it goes to Steam.

Ubisoft are enslaving you to the subscription and forcibly taking your money and will eventually take your game away if you like it or not , slavery is the new modern word , for taking your money .

I love the fact that a lot of people are not buying UbiSoft's BS. I don't expect the company to be around for much longer with how things are going for them on the time coordinate of the money graph.

Alternate claw clips you could pull: the villian from inspector gadget or if MSI releases a bigger version The Giant Claw (1957 monster movie featuing a giant vulture) would be appropriate.
