Gamers Nexus once again showing why they are the best. The interaction with the fans and helping a guy find his parts to build his new PC and then paying for it. Unbelievably classy. By the way, I just got my Disappointment Build 2021 shirt and I friggin love it hahaha.
lso, good to see Microcenter staff out West are just as great as they are here in the East (North Jersey location). They are always willing to help and know their stuff. Even the cashiers start conversation over the hardware you get. That's why I only shop at Microcenter when I consider serious upgrades or building something new. I stopped the Amazon/Newegg shopping a while back.
Also, you don't gotta worry about being a noob with PC building. Everyone starts somewhere. I'm still learning even though I have put several systems together. That finished build looked so nice and clean (waaaay better than my first try ahahaha).

Who the hell steals screws from display models?
Just... why? Stop it.
Micro Center seems pretty nice, though. They aren't in my country, but they seem like a great place to go for PC parts in America. Friendly and knowledgable staff, and a good selection of components.
Wholesome video too! The fan was polite and seemed like a nice enough guy (they originally waited for you to be done filming which is a good start), and it's crazy how this whole video just sort of spawned from an unlikely coincidence.

I don't know if buying 2 sticks of ram now and later down the line adding two more is a good idea. Everything should work... But sometimes the minor things might not (rgb). I bought two different corsair vengeance pro kits of same specs but had a weird issue where up to two sticks of ram would not turn on sometimes upon boot up. Corsair had no idea, they kept saying maybe various software that is keeping them from working. Just a heads up with today's ram with leds, not as simple as ram without rgb leds.

Steve keep up the good work. Amd thank you for being the good person you are. This shows that there is still good people out there. Not for only paying for the stuff. But the good advice to everyone, saying hi to all your followers. Taking picrures with them. And for making somones day just better. You rock.
Wish there were people and stores in South Africa.

That is the emptiest MicroCenter I've ever heard of. The one I have here in Michigan is PACKED ALL THE TIME. I was there in the middle of the week at 1PM, and the checkout line was 40 people deep. We need this re-designed MicroCenter style for SURE...just no room there for everything, and the aisles are so tight you can't take a cart down them...

Oh my gosh, if we would have something like this here in Germany, I would find a way to live in there ;-)
Loved buying components form the kistenschieber (cratemover) over the counter stores in my youth an build my PCs , but a market like a home improvement store where you can browse is something I thought was a thing of the past.

Microcenter staff knowledge is very hit or miss. Most of it comes down to staff getting kickbacks for selling certain products, usually in the form of vendor discounts for salesmen. So they are typically really biased in their recommendations. If you know what you want, just go in, keep your head down, and get out.

I really enjoyed seeing Steve talk to people and answer questions casually. It s fun and awesome for the people involved and you definitely made that guys day. I can t imagine someone so knowledgeable helping me when I first decided to build a pc. It s so cool!

How epic is that! Randomly bump into Gamers Nexus, get expert help picking out your PC components, and they pick up your tab.....I would have cried because that would have seemed like devine intervention. You guys are not just top teir, you are the best among your peers.

Wish I could do something like that points at an o11 mini that s set up for watercooling with a distro block
Steve says you could but it would balloon with time
He s right but it was funny that they used could in two very different contexts.
