One thing at 20:50 - depending on the game it will likely load and unload assets dynamically for 2D games depending on what's visible. If like in your case you have inputs are just stuck in a corner, my guess would be, that this loading and unloading of gameobjects that happens in real gameplay will never happen. Still a lot better than Valve's testing. Might be something to check if it makes a difference or if you are curious enough xD

Shame you had to limit it to hardware only, but that's also not a bad thing considering this is such an interesting hardware release. This device isn't for me, as I never game on the go, but it's an innovative evolution of PC gaming that will hopefully create a new niche within the hobby. Now Valve just needs to support it better than they did for the Steam Machines...

Takes some serious confidence in your product to give one to GN to teardown and deepdive on. Especially seeing how they gave access to the engineering data on things like memory module temperature. Props to Valve. Congrats to Steve and team, this feels like every tool and bit of knowledge in the arsenal sharpened and focused on an exciting new product class.

hmmm this could be viable for portable music recording given if you don't want to throw away your money to apple (also, is android still suck for low-latency audio recording, which is crucial for monitoring?).

can't wait to seem the thermal mods people try on this. It'll also be interesting to see if there will be the way to undervolt without installing swapping the OS.

I'd love to see a dedicated speculation video about the technologies displayed here and their application elsewhere. Such as a steam controller 2.

I love this format of a more hands on video across the studio. Feels different to the desk hosted ones and really highlights the effort you put in.

Im extremely excited for the steamdeck. I don't even travel that much, but I still would enjoy it all wrapped up in such a package. Lazy couch gaming!
