not had any issues on a 3070 with new world, the issue isn't really an Amazon problem despite what Hardware reviewers keep going on and saying it's Amazons 'issue'. New World like any application can only interact with the GPU through the API level data that they are allowed to, in the case of NW this is Direct X 11/12 (we'll say 12 even though its not using it). It doesn't access the card and go 'do x', it accesses the Windows DX Api and goes 'Do this', that then goes to NVIDIA's Driver and goes 'I want to do this' which in turn goes to the cards BIOS and Hardware and goes 'Do this'.. If there is an actual 'fault' beyond limited hardware issues then the fault is with Nvidia's Drivers and BIOS allowing the cards to do something that they shouldn't be doing, in this case typically pulling a load of power (If Jay is to be believed) very quickly and or Ignoring Power Caps.. again, Amazon can't tell the card to do that.
Something which all the Hardware reviewers should already know, but instead it seems like hey lets rag on Amazon because they put out a game that's exposed issues with nvidia's hardware and software.

Intel and AMD remind me of a joke:

Silicon Lottery closing down is NOT a sad story. It is a binning company which contributed to everyone not paying a premium not taking part in said silicon lottery. Same with Caseking and other vendors. At least Caseking sells its binning rejects itself and does not dilute the market. Did Silicon Lottery have a store segment for its binning rejects? Not that I know of. So those go elsewhere, without the customer being informed of their reduced chance of getting a good part.

surprised you didn't reference jayztwocents for the new world thing: he found for some reason it causes the cards to overdraw power, like 20 to 30% more than what it should be (420watts on a 375watt card...). and 2080tis can be affected too. i highly recommend people watch it if you haven't! (and to keep an eye on your wattage for EVERYTHING, incase other software has this quirk of hitting 120% when set to 100%, or hitting 100% when set to 75%)

I'm confused as to where a 3080 super would sit in the product stack. The 3080 ti is essentially the 3090 with half the VRAM, both of which offer pretty minor performance gains over the 3080 (certainly given the price difference).
So where would the super card land? Presumably nvidia wouldn't want to make the fairly recent 3080 ti irrelevant, so will it be something like 5% faster than the 3080? I find that difficult to get excited about.

I find I can't blame a game on GPUs dying. A game should not be able to kill a GPU, the GPU should be able to run some really high frame rates and should be able to throttle the FPS or power. Imagine a 3090 and Duke Nukem 3D, DOOM (original) etc, the GPU should be able to handle it. People are just trying to blame a game on crap GPUs IMO.
Right now, it looks like quality is job none for some GPUs.

I find I can't blame a game on GPUs dying. A game should not be able to kill a GPU, the GPU should be able to run some really high frame rates and should be able to throttle the FPS or power. Imagine a 3090 and Duke Nukem 3D, DOOM (original) etc, the GPU should be able to handle it. People are just trying to blame a game on crap GPUs IMO.
Right now, it looks like quality is job none for some GPUs.

Would like to see more watercooling content: how much radiators+blocks can d5/ddc can handle (often one can read: bro! You have gpu+cpu and 3 rads? You need 2nd pump! ), watercooling blocks efficiency test (which ones are better at cooling) , radiator efficiency (do you really need to pay extra for one brands or is the difference not worth the money)

21:43 1000Hz polling rate? I'd prefer much much higher. I've been gaming a lot on mobile lately, so going to a trackball wouldn't be to weird for me. However, if possible I think it would benifit from 8KHz polling rate, considering the small movements your thumbs can make (that's what she said)

Hypothetically, if computer components in future start running at negligibly low temperatures, would cases possibly trend back towards non-airflow focused cases?
I wonder if the current airflow trend is a side effect of the increasingly high temperatures and power draw of modern components.
