I remember when my father was on his first AJ. He was turning pale white and sweating like crazy. Loving every min of it hooting and howling like a child lol. Im sure it the hear rate was extremely high and since he previously had a stroke I now banned him from AJs for life lol. A heart attack is is unforgiving when standing in a hospital. .. never mind 30+ miles offshore.

I'm curious as to what the Garmin uses to sense heart rate, because you started in the 150's which is really high. Anything over 200 is known as SVT, but would be hard to tell with out actually seeing it. Could be that the sensor itself is just not of great quality, or is sensing artifact and counting that as your heart rate.

I've seen some of your surf fishing rod on tackle direct and was wondering if having a 1000 reel is really that much better than a 300 reel that you take good care of? I'm only 14 and don't have that much money to spend so I was wondering if it made that much of a difference. Great videos keep them up.

Not sure. I was diagnosed with svt(rapid heart rate) in 2011 and when under surgery to fix issue my heart rate reached 409bpm for a few minutes thanks to injected adrenaline. I'm rocking a pacemaker now and 170 to 200bpm is common under intense workout occasionally. No need to worry it's normal.

I don't think that monitor is very accurate, but hey, maybe some people are able to get keep their heart rate within 5 beats of 200 bpm without feeling like they are going to die afterward.
