I sure did crack a wide smile at the title of the video, I can tell yet that Shawn lot of long hard days ahead for you I am sure but I am excited to watch this cabin go up as I was to watch the other cabin got and probably even more so with this one even more so as this is like a do-over cabin where you get the chance to do the little changes you wish you would have got to do when you were building the other one.
Ought to be quite the feast for the eyes and soul to watch it all come together thru the days weeks and months. and it will be the a great milestone in the new journey at the new property

all you do turns out so lovely, homey, sweet and very authentic in some way. And the way you do it, interesting, educational, and the best of it all, always positive, always interesting facts or anecdotes. And your nature shots, they are absolutely movie perfect, touching and heartwarming. I think it's great that you jumped right into the new property and building. Keeps you moving forward. My dog misses me if I leave her in my cabin to go get an armload of firewood. I'm sure Cali is devastated not being able to be with you all day.

We are glad u are 48+ and self rwliant using hand tools to build. Wouls bw nice to see a model of your project and what other options avaible to speed up pro wss. In the states you can get harvest permit from national forest. It does not seem you have enough material to build out your projects. You have solar snow mobile i would prefab a basic cabin to sell to finance your projects.

Shawn are you keeping a loft bedroom with the new cabin? 15- 20 years from now climbing a ladder to get to bed could be a problem. And are you staying with the round logs or going with the square logs on the new build? Prayers for Cali's speedy recovery and wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your whole family. Miss seeing that beautiful dog and watching you two interact together. You can sure see how you are both each other best friends. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and the family, If you are going to be moving a lot of logs this year you may want to look into getting one of the nose cones that the logs ride up into. Will be a great help to pull them though the woods with out hanging up.

A suggestion for skidding with the snowmobile. Sacrfice one of your sleds. cut the back off, bring the log onto it and strap it there. As you pull you won't be bulldozing with the butt. It should make easier pulling especially if you hit a rock or stump. Would work with the 4 wheeler too.

Glad to see you are using mechanical assistance. Using that Ski-doo will certainly help establish trails through the forest. Easier on the legs too. Looking forward o watching matters progress on your new location. Will the new homestead be larger than or the same size as the first?
