Wilderness Lumberjack Workout with an Axe Cherry Wood Basic Bushcraft Project

Felling trees and moving heavy logs is quite the workout. This Cherry tree will provide beautiful wood for furniture in the log cabin and I cant wait to use it. With the help of my Ski Doo Tundra Ace 600, I move the wood back to the log cabin and remove the bark with my axe. From there, I make a small woodworking project which showcases the beautiful grain of the cherry wood. Side Note: I ran out of time editing this week so I apologize for the abrupt ending on this one. This Sunday, I will upload a new video that is more typical to my Friday videos

Hi Shawn, My husband used to lift logs like that, now he's almost 70 he still has the big broad shoulders that developed from doing that work, and has two torn rotator cuffs that never repaired, but now he has trouble lifting his arms above his head, his physio told him that it's very common in people over 60 but to not give up exercise otherwise his shoulders will seize. just something for you to keep in mind as you age, humans where never meant to do the work of machines.

You know I put these videos on at night and it makes me think of how much simplier life would have been if I had never met my friends, spent years emotionally investing in people, that simply never loved me - if I could've been born in a place solitude with just a dog, family and a few other truely caring people, living my too short life with just me and god before the planet is consumed by industrial, materialistic greed. I wonder what my mindset would've been.

Now thats whats up Sean, snowmobiles and 4 wheelers are my absolute favorite in the woods. I wont winch a cut tree that gets hung up anymore since that winch broke one time and went whizzing past my head. Never again. or if I did it would be not a straight shot. It happened to me it can happen to anyone. Lucky that didnt take my head off

Great videos. I enjoy them a great deal. I guess you were in pretty good shape when you started this whole adventure. What has the last couple of year in the woods done for your overall physical conditioning? I am 75, live in the woods with lots of amenities. I feel like taking a nap after one of your videos since you work so hard.

This video reminds me of my father. He spent 33 years of his life as a lumberjack in northern Ontario. Kapuskasing to be more exact. He never got injured while working. He was a very strong man. If he was alive today, he would love your videos too.

Sean,
There's NO WAY you dont have Lymes Disease. True/ Not True.
I got it and I'm not in the Woods nearly as much as you are.
Painful but not too many attacks lately. Be careful Big Country. .

With all the wood crafting you do, I'm surprised that you don't have a go-devil (wood sled) with with to skid logs. Chopping up that plastic sled seems like a waste.

Vikings who fled God's punishment and bowed to Egypt are the bastards that followed Ephraim to the promise land. God said he will pluck them off our land.
