Purslane provides six times more vitamin E than spinach and seven times more beta carotene than carrots. Its also rich in vitamin C, magnesium, riboflavin, potassium and phosphorus. It is an excellent addition to my diet for healthy eating. Kevin: Wow I never knew this plant was called Purslane in English! We have so much in my backyard, we use it a lot in our food (Mexican food) in Spanish it is called VERDOLAGAS, awesome video, thank you.

Nice little garden. That looked like a weed to me. The things you learn and pick when you want to. I am going to keep my eyes open and learn a little more.

Thanks for the Purslane tip. I had no idea I was pulling and throwing out such a valuable healthy plant! My garden is full of the wild variety.
