Once again, you have shown us how planning and patience make perfection in the garden. This space is so lovely. It was a good decision to move the raised beds. They can become so unsightly by late summer. Those hydrangeas are going to be glorious. Thank you for also mentioning budget constraints. That seems to be my problem this year. Mature, healthy plants in southeastern Michigan have doubled in price from two years ago. Most quality hydrangeas are now between $60 to $100 apiece here.

My my my, even visually walking down that alley to the patio garden. though I was strolling a piece of heaven! Soon lovely, and I bet there's alight wonderful fragrance as well(perhaps old fashion roses and lavender. I'm sure I could smell something wonderful) Wish you lived closer, always learning more and soon many different ideas and possibilities! Thanks for the pleasant tour.

Hi Danielle I loved the way you filmed this so that when you round the path you see the garden library! The lighting in the colors are just gorgeous! You gave that space a great transformation! The hydrangea hedge will be beautiful surrounding that cozy book nook. I love that whole area! The raised beds look really nice over there on the left side of the garden library Great choices!

Oh sweet girl, I walk around the gentle curve in the grass path and wonder what is ahead And then the book nook comes into view and my steps quicken with anticipation! I want to explore the library and snuggle into one of the chairs. Please just leave me to my dreams and a good gardening book! It is stunning absolutely stunning.

Lovely! I’m so glad you relocated the raised beds. They were blocking the view of the book nook. One thing, I’m not sure whether I like the patio to gravel to patio look, or not. I’d go for all gravel or all patio. In my opinion. It does look lovely now, but wondering what people think about the two textures.

Danielle, you have created breathing room in your space. I'm all for secret gardens and and hidden gems beyond view, but this is SO inviting and beckons you to come in. The raised beds closed it off before. Now great conversations, quiet contemplations and relaxation are in store. Job well done!

Nothing short of spectacular Danielle! I can really envision sitting in the book nook with a hot cup of tea, a good book and a cozy blanket this time of year! Question for you, at 6: 35, what type of juniper is in the shot between the first and second chairs to the right of the book nook

It’s like that area can breathe! I can’t wait to see the transformation! I know it will be beautiful! The library will be the focus of that area. You and your family will really use that space for making memories! Looking forward to seeing the progress.

Amazing Danielle! It all looks so fantastic! I can't wait to watch your hydrangia's get bigger and bigger with time. I love how you layed out the flat rocks and moved some to infront of the library too. That was a lot of work! Great job! You are very inspiring!

So lovely! I enjoy watching your changes in the garden over the years as I'm just starting my garden and have thrown things in but need to be more intentional in their placement and move things around this fall/next spring.

Oh Danielle, that looks so amazing, I just love the library and being able to see all of its Glory now without any obstruction, what a great space for your family. I can't wait to see this next spring come alive.

That’s a lot of hard work, well done. Love that you tackled a redesign to meet changing light.
The slow pan of your flower walk at the end took my breath away & made my eyes misty it’s so beautiful!

Beautiful, Danielle! A true labor of love. One very minor observation: do you think you should let a couple of flagstones dribble into the gravel and into the lawn, for a more flowing effect Really pretty, though

Finally looks like a special room of its own now.
The hydrangea hedge will be lovely as a low growing perenial and you can actually see the whole book room as one with the garden.
Great design! Jo

It looks so beautiful I would be happy to sit there for hours. A little fire bowl to pull out to put in the middle for chilly evenings and marshmallow s’mores would be perfection. I love it.

Everything is looking so nice! By the way, you are so strong, OMG! At 66, I wish I had the strength and energy I had 20 years ago. Love seeing this all come together.
