How am I able to be OFF GRID and do YouTube? Mortanos: Hello Erik. First of all I doubt you will probably read this with so many comments on every video, but on the off chance that you do, I want to express my great respect for your independence and versatility in craftsmanship. Most of all I love your passion for the wilderness and living far away from the commotion and crowdedness of city life. I hope to be able to watch your videos in years to come. Perhaps by then you will have your own groceries and an irrigation system from collected rainwater or similar, or perhaps you will have built a work shed or an additional room to your cabin. Either way keep doing what you do. Greetings from Germany.

-Oak spruce pine cedar deodar are common
-Rhododendrons are are found in colder regions
-The fruit you pluck in the start of the video is also found in my place
-You have Arctic Tundra we have Alpine Tundra where permafrost is permanent

Im amazed at all you have accomplished in your short time on this earth. You are truly an unique individual and a lesson for all of us lazy people who dream but dont do anything about our dreams. I wish you a long and fulfilling life. Please keep videos coming.

Where is he getting his meat from? Bacon in the forest? Didn't see one pig. Nice steaks as well. Where are these coming from? Where is the bathroom, the composting toilet? What else is he installing in the cabin? One bed, one root cellar, what else?

Jeremiah Johnson meets Amazon. I just found this and totally appeal to my primeval side as probably does to most people. The skill, quality, craftsmanship, creativeness and time put into these is over the top. Keep it up my friend.

You're not off grid. You're producing videos depicting what it might be like off grid if, say, for some weird reason, a photographer were there and you had all kinds of cool tools. It's lovely, but it's not real.

You better pray there is never a forest fire in your woods. Being surrounded by trees so close to your beautiful cabin puts all you have created at serious risk. Love what you are doing but take precautions.

You are incredibly skilled and you're so young, I'm amazed, loved your video and really love watching you put this together! You are an amazing young man! Thank you for sharing yourself and what you do!

You seem much better prepared than most for what is heading Europe's way in the coming months and years. Best of luck to you, man, and I hope you prevail over whatever hardships.

I never seen a gun or a pistol at least. You seem to be unarmed all the time. What happens if bear or wolf attacks you? Do you have weapons or at least some tools to scare them off?

I really enjoy the quiet, silence, tranquility, no narration, no music. Just nature and you working with your tools. Simply awesome! Thanks, from Texas!

I kept wondering about if you had access to Internet Service at the cabin / area. Thanks for sharing everything with us viewers, it is very enjoyable!

I just watched 2 hours of your building cabin. What water did you drink? Where did you have the outhouse? Hm no fireplace. I lived your storage?

Please spare the bs of doing it alone! It's so ridiculously obvious that there is a huge team and lots of machines off camera behind it.

Can you share details of your outfit? really like those. would be great for me coz we usually climb and trek mountains too

He probably lives on family owned land. Much easier to go off grid that way than when you have to buy your own property.

What are you not good at? Some of the things you are doing takes some people 20 years or more to master! Very impressive
reply

Do you have any podcasts about how you do all this? I'd listen to you talk about it for hours this is fascinating
