Join Jacques in the Garden and I as we start our first batch of spring seeds! Whether you're in the dead of winter or are beginning to think of starting yourself, grab a warm drink and soak up some gardening knowledge I started leeks, blueberries, strawberries, goji berries, and some random unlabeled seeds a couple of times in February, but I'm not starting anything else until next weeks. This month I'll be starting eggplant, oregano, bok choy, cabbage, cauliflower, fennel, lettuce, onions, green onions, and if it's warm enough, I'll be planting shallots outside.

New here. I just became acutely aware that I'm a seriously invested gardener.
A member of my family decided to move my gardening journals without telling me.
All my plant layouts, watering/ fertilizing schedules, next season layouts, plant listings, growing times, every single note I've taken and it's gone.
Thankfully I found them, an hour later after tearing the house apart, but not before coming close to a massive heart attack and full meltdown.
I think it's safe to say. I'm invested.

Don't make them mad! Crows are actually really smart and are capable of recognizing human faces and holding grudges for years. A friend of mine has made friends with the ones in her area and they will come to her whistle.
I love the interaction and conversation you two have, especially as when you're talking information on your tray labels. Sharing the knowledge even between such skilled guys as you. There is always the opportunity to learn and improve. :)

Hi Kevin! Thanks so much for all of your great videos, they are a super fun way to learn about different gardening strategies. QUESTION: I bought the epic 6 cell garden trays and love them - extremely sturdy. Have you tried to run them thru the dishwasher? Just thinking ahead for when I get to use them again year after year, might be a good way to sterilize after washing down with a hose? Maybe do an experiment lol? Thanks again, yall are the best

Im a mix of you two probably. I enjoy planting for uniqueness and variety but I also want something delicious and useful. So my garden is sort of half and half. When I started I also was an heirloom junky but living in zone 6, I definitely learned that some of the hybrids were so much better growing here so I definitely dont knock them now.

Aw I love that you spoke on not feeling like an expert. I kind of roll my eyes at self proclaimed master gardeners they may know a ton of info and have experience but like you both said, you constantly are learning while gardening. Hope this season is the best one yet for you both

Be careful when scaring crows. They can recognize faces and if you're bugging them, they will be a nuisance to you for-ever! Try to ignore them or be a friend to them (via food, you don't want them attacking your car or your animals as retaliation.

When I lived in San Jose there was a murder of crows so large that they darkened the sky. They would circle my building every evening for hours for almost and entire season. It was so spooky, but also very cool watching thousands of crows fly around.

This was such a fun video! Just two buddies hanging out. Pleasure hanging out with you on a spring Sunday planting flowers and herbs! I got foxgloves, marigolds, purple coneflower and Shasta daisies while you guys were chatting. Hopefully they grow

I never know what to plant and when. Is there a book you recommend. Also, aphids and snails and rabbits destroy the little I try to grow. Any suggestions on this the aphid issue is out of control! What state / zone are you in? Thank you so much

Crows are messengers! They like to take shiny things! And food! Loud noises will make them relocate! But! Sometimes in the middle of the night The raise a ruckus, and you know if you have livestock, there I s a predator! It was coyotes! :

I do have some jealousy that you guys are sitting outside doing these activities and having fun planting your seeds in the sun. Currently in Ohio it is sleeting and quite miserable to be outside. I am so looking forward to the spring

Dear Sirs, Do you gentlemen ever take roadtrips? If you folks happen to be in the area of Grand Junction Colorado. I desperately need a house call, just if you already plan to be passing through. Thank you, Ms. Flynn
