Old style Berlin and its food are amazing. Like, it's cool that all kinds of modern and international foods are available these days, I love all of the diversity, but I feel that the food of the olden days is slowly getting pushed to the sidelines and out of people's mind and it really is a shame. Like, I get it, it often doesn't look very appealing and it often isn't exactly the basis of a healthy diet, but that's because it has its origins in poor people's food. I like how the host put it: it's comfort food, simple but delicious.

German has some Nice spots, but the Example which you showed, are OK but not the Highlights of German Cooking. for Example me (Which lives in NRW-Nordrhein Westfallen) is thinking that Bayern got the most Delicous and Traditonal Kitchen combined. 100% worth checking it out on the next trip. For example Ski houses in Winter season, which you have to Climb first and then Enjoy the most tasty Linsen or bear and stuff like that. But some random host in some Garden. Cmon. Berlin is not Pretty at all Compared to Bayern

I don't mind the hipster food tasting and all that, but my God this woman is so disrespectful. She's telling these seasoned, expert chefs that their food is -not bad-, as if she could produce anything close. Terrible host, please replace her with someone that is a bit more respectful to the chefs, and perhaps someone from Germany who can relate more to the food.

Are you mad? Are you seriously eating raw pork? my mother always cooks pork well done. That old man is a savage! (in a good way) btw i dont understand why are people hating the host so much? she might not be a model but she is a good host. 10/10 would watch another munchies episode by her.

i have no idea why my great great grandpa didn't go back. ooh wait, mmh yeah that. i would love to go back and be like African Americans when they come to Africa and kiss the ground and be like -I'M HOME- this is my fathersland, that part. i probably cant do -_-

I don't like German food. I like all sorts of food, but German, Polish, Russian, and other similar cuisines are not for me. A large portion of it is borderline inedible to me, especially sauerkraut, and the rest just isn't special in any way.

I really liked Kavita as a host - she clearly knows her stuff about food, she really appreciates Berlin, her German is great. and from what I've read, she is a big influencer in terms of street food in Berlin! Also, her laugh is so contagious: )

Oh and Worcester sauce on a currywurst from ks in steglitz? Lolz. not hating but maybe vice should get some people who know the language a bit better etc for this. btw the -Worcester- sauce is Maggi.
