As a matter of fact, salt is good for good health. Sugar, on the other hand is bad for high blood pressure and is the cause of many ailments. Sugar is more addictive than heroine and it keeps us craving more. When I was growing up sugar was an ingredient reserved only for dessert. Today, there is sugar in almost everything. Oops, I got all caught up on the salt vs sugar thing, that I almost forgot to thank you for this recipe. I could almost smell them. Take care and God Bless!

Thank you for the sauce recipe. I can never find a canned one that I like. How would I add a little more heat so it's a little more spicy? Plus I will try warming the tortillas your way because I've been frying them and that takes way too long! I like drizzling the sauce over and leaving the edges out so they get crispy when baking. (Family loves it that way. So I'm going definitely going to try this tonight.

I came across this recipe earlier today I decided to roll the dice and cook it up. And I gotta' tell ya'. It is delicious! I did trick it up a tad by dicing up some jalapeno and throwing it into the mix. I was low on real cheddar so I cubed up some fake Velveeta cheese that I had hiding out in the back of the fridge. btw. I'm from Texas so this recipe was right up my alley. Thanks!

I was very interested until the part where the sauce is prepared and made using Chili Powder. That to me is not Mexican style, but then realized the subject reads Tex Mex Enchiladas. The rest of the steps were good to follow, but to me there's nothing better than making your own chile sauce using real red chiles, boiling them, blending them, etc, etc.

When I first got married over 20 years ago I didn't know how to cook at all. I remember using canned enchilada sauce, then I discovered McCormick enchilada mix, thinming I was a bad a cook. I then graduated to an even tastier mix from Fiesta Bolners brand. But now I'm going to have to try THIS recipe! Lol thank you!

I tried this! My family loved it, only issue I had, it was falling apart when I served it to my family. Any idea on what I did wrong? Also suggestions on what to add to the pan prior to putting the tortillas? It stuck to the place also. Overall thank you! It was quick and easy to make!

I always add a bit of sauce to my meat and mix in before filling the tortilla which I also dip into the sauce on both sides. The remaining sauce I put over the tray of enchiladas with the remaining cheese. Great with black olives in mixture and a scoup of sour cream when serving.
