Alright, I really don't understand why they had to use the soft shell turtle to make the chawanmushi dish, there's literally nothing special and exquisite about it, she said it tastes like chicken and that the turtle itself has a strong smell and they would have to go through all the troubles to get rid of the smell, then why on earth would u freaking kill a living turtle just to make the dish? What? Is it more special that way? Does it appeal to people's appetite? For me at least, hell freaking No, so please stop using those poor turtles as the ingredient, find other alternatives please! Gosh I'm so sad writing this

Omg I go and eat at this place very often! What a surprise to see them on Youtube haha The omakase course is 110, 000 which is around 100. There are 9 dishes in the Mitou course and every single one of them is fantastic. She has such a warm and friendly personality that just makes people want to revisit the restaurant: ) Also the course menu changes completely every month so its always exciting to see what she is going to serve that day!

poor turtle. it tried smell ugly. shell smell was as safety but chef prepared him with alcohol. Maybe will be better give a shoot alcohol glass every customer without turtle. In my country is only one kind of wild turtles and is so secret that maybe few percent of people saw this animal. we have only this, only one Earth

I watched this thinking they were a married couple. Nevertheless, its obvious just how skilled and passionate they are about their craft. They have a rice polisher in their kitchen FFS! I know first hand just how incredibly tough and draining the restaurant business is. I hope the very best for them.

Its amazing to see the brain power that was required to come up with such dishes/plates to me, this was a show about 2 people who have managed to harness the power of creativity and focused it into something quite similar to art, except its edible. impressive. like truly F-ing impressive!

It seems as if these two are 'playing' chef. Reminds me of children copying what the adults are doing - like using an Easybake oven. It's clear they have learned some skills - but in Japan, most great sushi chefs apprentice for years before they run their own restaurants.

i've seen all kind of things die and eaten, it does not bother me. but for some reason this turtle kind of made me uncomfortable. maybe it's because i didn't realize that turtles were eaten in the first place and are just pets. food looks nice though, keep it up.

This make me very uncomfortable that you guys decided to show the turtle being killed without any warningI'm usually alright with meat being cooked, but this killing scene is way too much and I just can't appreciate the cooking process at all

The turtle tastes like chicken and the smell is so Bad and strong that you Need a ton of alcohol to overpower it. why would you Even eat the turtle if those things are the case, seems weird to me.

of course theres crybabies talking about the turtle. Get out of your Mcdonalds and fried food mindset and maybe you can see that other countries eat different things for their own reasons.
