Well you see, some people do not want chemicals in their hair. I understand that hair dye is the practical way to go but people do need to understand that hair dye can damage your hair to the point where it fries and comes out. And of course, that is different for all people. However, some people do not want to use chemical hair dyes because it is NOT good for the hair. No hate, thank you.

The other day I was board in class so I grabbed a like part of my hair(not too big like a front bit my hair is natural blonde) and then put it on paper and held it there whilst like drawing blue highlighter on the tips and I made sure I got all of the end and it worked pretty well! It washed out after a few days. So. yea

The beet juice idea was kind of neat. Struggle with allergic reactions to (not quite-but-almost) everything. I am okay with using beet juice as another way to color my hair without being exposed to a bunch of chemicals.
Food for thought & hair color

Ive actually died my hair with sharpies before, I did blue and green the blue was VERY pigmented but not the green, I dont reccomed the highliters bc they might be a lighter formula and I only added conditioner to the sharpie ink not water

Brad: I feel like this half half look only works when your hair is parted down the middle, on the side its like did you mean to mess up your hair?
Me, whos been coloring my hair and half for years and blending it in with my fringe: Oh.

I would actually try the beetroot method because I suffer from allergies, so i'm not just able to buy a box of hair dye and be done wit it. I can't even wear makeup! And let's not even talk about perfumes/colognes. Just kill me.

it's a good thing the last one didn't work bc food coloring can rot in your hair
Wood coloring (aniline) is what you wanna use if you're set on using a Household item
and even then, that will dry your hair a bunch

I used coffee grounds and the colour it left was a beautiful chestnut and very shiny ( I already was a dark chestnut, it really gave me red and gold highlights and a lot of people asked me what dye I used. Lol

I think the beets method is really good when you have kids, like you can just give it to your 5yo and let them make a mess of their heads on the shower without worries that they'll eat it or something

Coffee and tea work as stains when you do them correctly. Can't just mix ground coffee with conditioner. and they're more stains, not dyes. Chamomile tea is good for refreshing/staining blondes.

I would mix the food coloring with a developer, but that's because the conditioner also has water, preventing the color from entering the cuticle. Maybe that's just me.
