Yeah, so they finished the whole Juno story in the Assassin-s Creed comics. The main protagonist of that series was Charlotte de la Cruz, and she teamed up with various Assassin-s that have been featured or mentioned in the various mediums of the franchise. And that whole group of Assassin-s teamed up with Otso Berg to take down Juno and her cult followers, the Instruments of the First Will. They stopped her with the Kohi-noor diamond and also freed Desmond-s son from the Instruments. Also, Desmond-s son is a sage, and walked off with the diamond in the Australian dessert at the end of the series, so we-ll probably see him pop up somewhere.

Okay say when I was young I played like the first three assassins creeds? I remember Ezio (nothing at all about the story) and Desmond. ish. I don-t remember how that worked out either. Then I played Odyssey. I-m now re-playing Oddysey and thought wait. what even is the Animus, who is this lady investigating the spear of Leonidas? Is this game even connected to the previous? Wait what even if assassins creed about? And I ended up here. After watching the video I still have absolutely no idea what-s going on.

This brings me to one conclusion.
People who write stories like this have ALOT of time on their hands.
I just watched this movie and I thought it STUNK! However, I was distracted 1/2 the time doing other thangs. Hey. I believe in multi-tasking. In this case I should watched the movie uninterrupted. But as for now.
The movie sucked!

the AC series was my favorite until black flag came out. that was when it dropped for me, in my opinion. desmond died and then the whole plot went to shit as far as i'm concerned. origins was real fun to play but i still didn't give a shit about the plot. odyssey looks pretty promising though
reply

i wonder how the ac origins isu ruins tie into this? they seem to claim that everything is a simulation anyway (meaning layla's life, not bayek's) and then in the final one it's apparently desmond himself narrating it, suggesting he's not actually dead but online like juno

Does anyone actually play these games for the present day story? I haven't played any of them since Brotherhood, but the modern stuff always felt like an unnecessary, boring framing device that kept breaking up the fun assassin stuff.

Whenever sci-fi weirdness happens, just smile and nod. After spending a lot of time on YT trying to figure what any of this all means so that I have some context playing Odyssey, I have a feeling that that's the best tip I'm gonna find.

i started playing syndicate and did know what the hell was going on and why it keeps switching between current timeline and then back to the past. Was still was as heck tho. I thought it was some kind of Sword art online world XDDD

. so which 15-year old did Ubisoft hire to write this fanfiction story? And why have they continued to replace him with new 15-year olds instead of letting him grow up to possibly write something that made sense and is interesting!
reply

I just bought Odyssey as my first AC game and I was like I know there-s a bunch of other games I wonder if there-s a storyline I should know of with the modern people and holy shit. I guess I-ll have to play them all because I-m lost
reply

Played every one of those games twice, only skipped rogue and chronicles. Never heard of a 'sage' so either I wasn't paying much attention or Ubisoft is really bad at explaining overarching lore and storylines.

My take away here is that Assassin's Creed can be easily inserted into the Robotech timeline, with those hologram people being the Robotech Masters. When can I expect a video about that?
reply

Honestly the most confusing story line ever that literally no one cares about, I-ve played all the main games and I-m still lost lol. Also I can-t believe people actually cared about Desmond
reply

And they still have yet to recover from the idiotic writing at the end of AC3! I'm sure they'll continue until the game title isn't working anymore and people aren't buying them.
reply

I love how the thumbnail is Alexios kicking Bayek, as if implying that Odyssey is basically kicking all of the other AC Titles away due to how different and un AC this game is.
reply

Watching this kind of gave me an X Play feel from when G4TV was at its prime.
Additionally, it seems like Simone wrote all of the entries 'Bios of the Gods'. same mannerisms etc

reply

What happens in AC Unity and why I skipped it: They-re looking for a Sage-s body to get the DNA and then they find it and realize it-s decomposed enough so there-s no more DNA.
reply

thanks for this. I-ve played all the old games except for unity and syndicate because apparently they are crappy. Now I know what is happening going into origins and odyssey -
reply

As someone who isn't really interested in AC much anymore (I fell off -hard- after Brotherhood, but was sort of intrigued by where the story was going, this video is a gift.
reply

I. I always thought assassin's creed was just about being an assassin in various time periods? what's the point of the time travel?
reply

? I never played AC game and I thought it was like, you're an assasin in ye oldy times? But there are some gods and technology and shit?
reply

I thought that if desmond died then juno would be free to tale over the world, then why did juno still need to go online or something?

Juno was actually successfully resurrected in the comics and not long after killed by Assassin Charlotte De La Cruz

Imagine when grandfather asks his son -Boy, what are you playing there? - and the boy starts exactly this monologue.
reply

I haven't played a single assassin's creed game but bought Odyssey on a steam sale. Thank you so much for this video.
reply

-She can only go online. Which is what hell is. - This is the most relatable sentence I've heard all month.
reply

you know the meme with charlie from Always Sunny in front of the bulleting board? Yeah I thought you did.
reply

I feel like we don't need to know any of this either before or after playing athathen'th creed odyssey.
reply

hey this was funny (AND informative, for those of us who bought odyssey but gave up after brotherhood)
