The XBOX One is no more backward compatible than the PS4 is. You have to download a ported versions of the original game which then runs natively. The disk is merely used to identify the title and to confirm that you 'own' it.
But this means that MS has to port every single game in the catalogue and they're unlikely to do this with older or more obscure titles, or titles who's publishers won't allow it or no longer exist (e. g THQ.
In this sense Now is the superior product. Sony doesn't have to do anything more than put the disk in one of their PS3s (simplification but you get my point. Microsoft have to put much more effort into every title.
Also, Now will allow you to play rare titles that are very difficult (or expensive) to find. You just need to have a decent connection.
That said, the price is ridiculous. $15/month is too much to play for old games that will never run as well as they did on an actual PS3.

I tested PS NOW on my Sony Bravia 850B tv with a PS3 controller for about a week. I had my tv hard wired into the router and my internet connection is 20 down 2 up. I played quite a few games on it and it ran almost perfectly, every now and then I would perceive some input lag on games like Ratchet & Clank but for the most part it was like having a PS3 with a ton of games to play. I don't have enough use for it to keep a subscription, but if there was a game I wanted to play for a day or two, I would shell out $4-8 to do it on PS NOW

ive had a go at this through my pc and my pc is connected to router by ethernet. and all the games ive played all lose connection after 12 mins of play and another thing is i cant get the motion control to work as some games need this to play which is an arse to say the least. as there are certian games that rely on these motions to carry on. ie ''heavy rain'' tried a few programs like motionjoy with no luck. :( btw im using an original DS3 six axis controller it works fine on my ps3 ultra slim console

This service has a similar problem to VR in that people are unlikely to want to spend money on something there not sure of it's quality or legitimacy without seeing it with there own eyes, however unlike VR they could and should launch a free 1 month trial to PS Plus members (via a soft launch) to not overload the servers to get people interested, as if I enjoyed that trial I would consider subscribing every so often, just my 2 cents.

How can you complain about ps now when you were using Wi-Fi. I didn't think there was anyone who actually tried to play games using Wi-Fi. And especially when you're streaming a game. I've played 7 or 8 games through ps now and they all worked great. But i haven't played any indie titles with it so maybe they don't work as well for whatever reason but all the AAA games don't seem to have a problem.

As for them saying it's weird for PS Now to have games that are both on PS3 and PS4 (and in some cases, Vita, you need to remember that PS Now is also available on standalone Blu-Ray players and certain Sony and Samsung Smart TVs. For some people, that might be the only way they can play PlayStation games at home.

Video streamng does NOT work well at all for any platform. Steam streaming is broken. nVidia streaming rarely works. Even remote desktops suck for PC and Macs. Perhaps someday when everyone has gigabit Internet at extremely low latency. When WiFi runs at gigabit speeds and is stable and consistent. Maybe in 20 years.

I -love- Playstation Now. I don't have a PS3 (nor have plans to get one, and have played some amazing classic PS3 games nearly flawlessly. In a year, as internet speeds/bandwidth improve, I think that fewer and fewer people will have issues with streaming.

In the UK it's solid for me. Not a fan of the pricing as you'd expect but over wired ether to router looks and plays well. Have had the me games look lower quality of streaming than others I will say. Look forward to seeing it work on ps TV and vita.

I understand how annoying video game noise can be to people not playing at the time. So I like to use Bluetooth headsets. To use both Bluetooth and WiFi really screws up most portable devices.

Thinking soo small guys, ps now is available on tvs, set-top, tablets and vita/vita tv. That's why there are games thats free on plus and available on ps4. So in the box, typical polygon.

Pretty cool i guess the only games i play is Red Dead Redemption 1 and Red Dead Redemption 2 but rdr1 is psnow so whatever i pay cuz i love it
