We love these Disney heroes but unfortunately they made things worseFor this list, were paying tribute to some of our favorite Disney heroes whose certain actions and decisions led to the main conflict of the story, gave the villain a leg up, or were just plain dumb. To be fair though, they dont usually MEAN any harm, and they almost always make the effort to right their mistakes. If you havent seen any of these unfortunate plights, there WILL be spoilers. I'm not so sure I'd put Beast on the list. He had to break the curse by his 21st year. Meaning he had to still be 20 when Belle showed up. If they'd been cursed for ten years as implied in Be Our Guest, the enchantress cursed a ten year old for being rude. A punishment that seems just a little harsh. At least in the 2019 version they made it so he was clearly an adult when cursed. In any event, I don't think letting her go was a mistake. Actually that's probably what ultimately saved him. Could she have loved him if he made her stay while her father was ill and dying in a snowbank? Doubtful. His scaring her into fleeing could recommend him for the list, but then again he didn't exactly have heroic motives at that point.
I'd actually argue that Belle should have taken his place on the list. She showed Beast in the mirror to the villagers, which instantly caused Gaston to rile them up to storm the castle. In her defense, they were about to cart her father off to the loony bin because he was raving about a beast, and proving Beast's existence proves his sanity and destroys any grounds they have to commit him. But still. showing a big scary animal to a mob who includes an egomaniacal hunter who likes hunting big scary animals, and who, by the way, is obsessed with the idea of marrying you and isn't going to like it if someone else is competing for your affection, is probably going to cause some problems.
Also I think Maurice could have qualified for an honorable mention. He blows up his invention, ends up at the castle because he can't read a map, later bursts into the tavern raving about a beast which gives Gaston the idea to get him committed in order to blackmail Belle into marriage (granted anyone would be panicked if a giant chimera had imprisoned a loved one, and a giant chimera imprisoning a loved one does sound pretty out there, and his attempt to get back to the castle, which Belle sees in the mirror, is an epic fail. 2019 made Maurice less bumbling, but still, picking a rose on someone's private property might not be the best decision, especially when you know there's something weird about the castle and were in fact scared into fleeing moments earlier by a talking teacup.

Honorable Mentions:
Marlin - Finding Nemo
-His overprotective nature inadvertently drives Nemo away and lead to him being captured by divers. Fortunately, by the end, Marlin realizes there are times where we need to let go and let our children figure things out on their own, and he is able reunite with his son and patch things up with him.
Maui - Moana
-In a misguided endeavor, he stole the heart of Te Fiti. Without the heart, Te Fiti became Te Ka. With some help from Moana, the two are able to restore the heart.
Alberto - Luca
-Because of his fear of loneliness, Alberto lets his growing jealousy of Luca and Julia's friendship turn into possessiveness. In a last ditch effort, Alberto jumps into the water and reveals his true form right in front of Julia and Luca, only to be run out of Porto Rosso by Ercole and his gang when a panicked Luca cries Sea Monster.

Also Queen Elinor is just as to blame as Merida is since Merida's mother pushed her to be a second version of her in her own image. You can't change your child's desires and appearence as WHO THEY WANT TO BE. PLUS YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THEM AND LET THEM CHOOSE THEIR OWN FUTURE! Which Queen Elinor did do not at first! Especially since in the argument scene Elinor said I am the Queen! You listen to me! THAT IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF BAD PARENTING! When parents don't listen and communicate with their kids, they hurt not only their kids, but also theirselves by not only creating abusiveness and tension towards each other but failing to understand each other's point of view. My point is Merida should be taken off the list and QUEEN ELINOR should have been somewhere in it like at 2 or 3.

Hey, why did you have to put Alice on this list anyway? IT's not like she had any ill gotten intentions of anything. Her only error was letting curiosity get the best of her and never wanted to harm anyone. She just wanted to get back home in the end. Merida on the other hand, while its understandable why she doesn't want to get married to a complete stranger, it was a reckless and dimwitted move taking a spell from a witch she barely knows that could have had evil intentions toward the kingdom and never thought any of this through. Just took it without a second thought and would do anything to get out of responsibility, even if it meant poisoning her mother that might have been dying and all Merida could think about was herself? Is that a role model to look up to?

What I CANT understand is why TRAMP is not on this list really? I mean others can believe what they want but me PERSONALLY can see tramp on this list and heres why really. tramp DID inadvertently played a good part of WHY scamp ran away sad and harsh to say. but tramp pretty much DID dig his own grave and the grave to his father son relationship with scamp when pretty much verbally abusing his son and storming off if anything without regrets and the fact that his son SNAPPED at him AND ditched tramp is proof of how little it TAKES to dive kids or anyone if anything over the edge when you go and abuse your children. And the people close to you, Even through WORDS to where i really DO see how SYNDROME from incredibles felt
reply

7: 23 - Ariel didn't need to go to Ursula.
Only a member of the royal family can remove the trident from where it's kept, and she is. So she could've done it herself.

News lady (the Incredibles) - It is time for there secret identity to become their only identity. Time for them to join us, or go away.
Me - As far as I can see, the supers aren't wanted and she just said go away. So where are they going to go? They should've gone to an island where no one lives (Nomanisan Island, got the money to build the buildings and things they need, and eventually prevent Buddy from becoming Syndrome.

reply

In Mr. Incredible's defense, the one person that started the sues of the superheroes just did it because Mr. Incredible saved his life (which is something it was his duty to do) when he didn't wanted to, ending up being injured because of that. Not only that, but, because of the series of sues that he started and caused the superheroes to be banned, also led to the events of the second movie. Regarding Syndrome, it's true that Mr. Incredible did wronged Buddy, however, despite he was the catalyst for his ascention to villany, he can't fully be to blame for that as Syndrome did make his own choices.
reply

You're wrong about Mr. Incredible. He was 100 percent right to not let Buddy join him. And it's not because he didn't want his help, but rather because, at the time, Buddy was just a kid who wasn't his. If he did let him join, he would be letting him endanger his life.
If anyone is to blame for Buddy turning bad, it's Buddy himself. If he had taken rejection with dignity and moved on and realized that not just anyone can be super, he wouldn't have become that monster known as Syndrome. On the other hand, Mr. Incredible shouldn't have been so cold about rejecting him.

to be pair, I don't think Judy did any mistake.
I mean, she played to Bellwether's hands, but she did the right thing.
I mean, even if she didn't say these stuff, the people (or animal) of Zootropolis would have find out eventually.
And keeping that kind of information from the public? - what kind of cop does that make her?
She didn't invent the Biology thing, that doctor did.
Maybe she should say she thinks that the doctor is wrong, but.
Again, keeping all that information from the public wouldn't be the right thing to do.

Joy was the real villain of In and Out. the entire mentality of buck up, find the silver lining, you control your emotions, happy world propaganda is more damaging than DEALING with negative emotions. We can't push negative emotions away like they're evil. they're not, they're a part of us. Joy went on a rampage to make absolutely everything happy and push away sadness regardless of how much we need to deal with emotions like sadness so we CAN be happy. It cost Reilly so much. And joy ended up being the villain, even if she didn't mean to be.

Im one of your fans of your Disney videos, but. Im sorry to say Ill have to dislike this one. None of those Disney heroes NEEDED to be perfect. Sure, they all made some questionable choices, but let me just say in my defense that not all of them were given a chance. How would it be a Disney or Pixar movie if all of the characters were perfect, but never knew how to learn from their mistakes? You can hate me all you want, MsMojo, but I just wanted to give you good advice for many new Disney videos to come.

Ok so where gonna ignore Nakoma sending Kocuom after Pocahontas, while yes she didnt mean for a confrontation she didnt trust Pocahontas enough, I get she knew nothing about the settler that just appeared in the cornfield, but while she was just trying to protect her, her actions ignited Kocuoms warrior spirit which ended up killing him and nearly declaring war. Or what about Jack kept ignoring Sally, despite she knew things were going to become a whole lot worse?
reply

Syndrome was an entitled white boy who didn't get what he wanted. He felt like he was owed Mr. Incredible's attention, when he was interfering with real crime fighting work. Directly interfering. In fact, Buddy CAUSED one of the incidents that resulted in a lawsuit discrediting supers: the train crash. If it had been just one suicide victim saved and injured in the process, it likely would have been written off.

Real life is messy. We all have limitations. We all make mistakes. Which means, hey, glass half full, we all have a lot in common. And the more we try to understand one another, the more exceptional each of us will be. But we have to try Judy hoops zootopia one of my favorite quotes were arent perfect by any means we all make mistakes and the best thing we can do is try and make up for them

Joy's treatment of Sadness is why I can't rewatch Inside Out. I know it turns out all right, but as someone with depression who spent so much time growing up getting told to smile or that I needed to be happy when I was physically not capable of it, and also as someone who was bullied a lot in ways that were a lot like the way Joy bullies Sadness, Joy is way too triggering to me.

In Ariel's defense, it was Triton who drove her to trust Ursula. In a dick move as big as the ocean, Triton destroyed her belongings only for his hatred of humans, leaving Ariel vulnerable to trust Ursula. That's why Triton is the one with the bigger character arc in the movie. Although Ariel did make a mistake, Triton had a bigger lesson to learn.
reply

This list should be Triton, not Ariel. If he had not destroyed the cave into which Ariel was collecting things of human culture, his daughter would not have made a deal with Ursula. In addition, the marriage of Ariel and Prince Eric could lead to the fact that people would stop eating fish, which is a big plus for Triton and his kingdom
reply

I love Ariel, but yeah she. she made some bad decisions. Also, I don't think she would have gotten her voice back even if she DID get Eric to kiss her. the only reason why she got her voice back was because the shell necklace broke. yeup. She wouldn't have gotten her voice back, even if Kiss The Girl is an awesome love song. :p

Simba should of been here because:
Instead of running away back to pride rock, he watched Mufasa die and running to him allowed Scar to make him believe it was his fault and have him run away allowing Scar to turn the pride lands into ruin and in the Lion King 2, his bad parenting caused a war with the Outsiders

I know this is an older video, but I wouldve suggested adding Kenai from Brother Bear on this list. The entire catalyst of the film was the fact Kenai killed a bear out of revenge for his brother dying and got turned into a bear himself to learn a lesson on perspective. Id say thats a BIG mess up for Kenai.

Mr Potato head And Doc Hudson Should Be Here Because Their Bad Treatment Of The Main Protagonists (for example mr potato head was a massive jark to woody just because he got rid of buzz and doc Hudson was a massive jark to lightning mcqueen only because he was a race car which makes no sense)

It wasn't because of Flora and Merryweather's strong disagreements of the color of Aurora's dress that causes all the trouble later, but the fact that the fairies forgot about the fireplace. If they remember to cover it as well, then the whole thing would have gone a lot smoother than it did.
reply

The animals in Zootopia needs to know that preys are not savages, especially that all rabbits are not cute. Chipmunks can eat snakes, there are rabbits that are nightmare fuel, (FNAF proved that, and the Walten Files, and rabbits are known to eat their children when their stressed enough.

If Im doing my math correctly. if the Beast is 21 and the curse was 10 year ago. THEN THE PRINCE WAS ONLY 11! OF COURSE HES NOT GOING TO LET A STRANGER INTO HIS HOME! EVEN IF HE WAS SPOILED NO 11 YEAR OLD IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD LET A STRANGER IN THEIR HOUSE!
reply

I would say King Triton made things worse than Ariel.
He was so aggressive and overprotective to Ariel and destroying her collection drove her away to make a deal with Ursula. It was all his fault. If he didn't do all that, none of this would've happened

reply

Although I do agree with the Nicelanders being the main issue in Wreck-It Ralph, I would like to point out how some of the major issues in Sugar Rush that came later were Ralph's unintentional doing. Not accusing. Just pointing out. I love that movie.
reply

The plot of Sleeping Beauty made no sense, if Aurora was in danger on her 16th Birthday, WHY SEND HER AWAY? She could spend the 15 years with her parents, they could TELL her of what happens, then take precautions to make her safe. idiots.
reply

In Toy Story, Woody made things worse by knocking Buzz Lightyear out the window and then they wrestled and hollered at each other at the gas station, went to Pizza Planet and then both ended up in the hands of Sid who loved to torture toys.
reply

Apparently Ariel did not learn from her father's mistakes about raising kids. If you don't want them to be breaking rules, you should give them specific reasons to follow them. Otherwise they will think the rules are dumb and unreasonable.
reply

10: 20 technically it was only the nicelanders fault
2: 52 And on Fliks defense, all of that couldve been prevented if they gave his invention a chance
8: 58 You do know that other supers did the same, to relive the glory days
