First LGR donations unboxing for 2021, and it's a big one! All kinds of classic computer hardware, software, oddware, retro games, and vintage technology. Massive thanks to everyone who contributed - and also made offers to do so! Can't wait to dive deep into all this stuff as time allows

That Flux section just scratched a section of my memory that hasn't been touched in over two decades.
My brother and I had this Shareware CD with a bunch of games on it back in 99 or so. There was this game called Uz 3. 0. It was a puzzle game with awesome MIDIs and it even had a Mortal Kombat easter egg (TOASTY) so we loved it. I haven't thought about it in nearly 22 years, but that MasterWorks logo brought me back. Looked it up, and sure enough, Flux is the spiritual successor to Uz. Crazy.

IBM mwave and sb compatibility. ha, that isn't always very stable. but in a way it is pretty cool. Its essentially a dsp and some a/d and d/a converters, so it could be modem, sound input/output device, effects processor etc. Cool idea, badly executed. I did quite enjoy the version in my thinkpad 760ed, but that was with OS/2 and rarely ever trying to run dos games (tho I did play frontier and frontier first encounters a fair bit)

Brooooo that clear mouse is for prisoners. I shit you not. Prisons were allowed to use electronics but they had to be completely see through. Even cassette tapes. So what you have there is probably a mouse designated for prisoners. Probably. I don't know if I'm actually right and probably someone gave a proper answer.

How can I contact this guy? I saved a whole bunch of stuff today and I want to know if LGR is interested in any of it.
There is a load of stuff, a couple of SONY DASV-40's, various Microsoft floppys, PRO Tools, Roland/Yamaha/Cubase floppys. Most of it is music/audio related.

You need to be careful when you handle computer parts and chips and stuff I learned that you can actually shocked them by accident by running your thumb over they give you stuff your feet on carpet you can shock the computer pieces and they will burn out so be careful?

I used a similar tablet in high school -Computer Aided drafting- class in 1991-92. Very common with older cad software, matter of fact even when I worked for an engineering firm later in life (2000 ish) the CAD users still used somthing similar. Not sure if they still do.

From what I remember there was a bit of a 'ser through' pc and prehiperals craze in the 2000's in England. I had a completely see through amd sempron setup as a teenager. Not sure about the rest of europe. Perhaps the microsoft mouse is part of that craze

to get network on 'older laptops' (or any other thing old, without opening it up) there were plenty of ethernet interfaces that plug into the parallel port. most of which do like it if they have an external power adapter plugged in tho.
