. I am an actor and as an actor I can show confidence and actually feel confidence and people around me see it and they respect me. But between me and you I am acting, this is not me and I am mentally week, afraid, and everytime I show confidence even though I believe it and I truly feel it as a method actor that i am because I am a good actor. but when it is all done I feel bad because this is not me and I am not myself and I feel bad about it in a sense that I feel that I am misleading myself and people around me. Could you please help me with that? Just your thoughts and all in all, your help thank you. just to be sure if I can elaborate on what I am trying to say please listen to this carefully; -so we all have to pretend and act(pretence and mimicking certain traits rather than being ourselves) and show certain traits even though this is not truly you in order to show confidence- how about being ourselves. I appreciate your help. Thank you

3: 27 VERY VALID POINT. Its all about conforming. everyone has done it. but at what point does it become something more than that? like, youre trying to impress certain groups because u feel like they wont embrace u how u are? or u feel like u have to conduct yourself this way, in order to prove that youre not one of the stereotypes, that silly people place on you. theres different levels. some folks are confidently conforming, others are just being fake, via some bs. thats why im always impressed by people who can go around any culture, being themselves, and theyre still embraced by the majority.

-Someone I admire like Colin Powell- - and here the video stoos for me cause I dont know how you can say such things about a war criminal. He is as much a war criminal as Putin is nowadays but we dont see it lile that cause its still -us vs them- and we fail to realize thatits just perspective. He raise sanctions against one country and extend economic relations with another. Both have illiegally and unser false premise invaded a foreign country and brought war and dustruction to it. The one side we hate and the other we cheer for. Im sick of doubke moral standards.

So, you make a derogatory remark -sometimes people mistake machismo or theatrical displays. of power as confidence- while simultaneously displaying a scene where Vladimir Putin enters a room in the Kremlin. Now, that was a bit of political propaganda seeking to demean the character and personality of Putin. You should read up a bit on Colin Powell's background and how he climbed the greasy pole.
Not impressed.

0: 58 One: Traits of confident people
- Posture, the way we present, how we look, where our chin is, where the eyes are looking and gazing
- Our gestures are loose but smoother
3: 12 Two: Modeling confidence
People that look around are more confident. More experienced, knowledgeable
Have command of themselves
If you're in charge, you're in charge of time

I really enjoyed your talk and the video of confident walking with powerful people. Yes a command of self. I am going to choose my way and practice. Thank you so much. You said no while you-re chin dropped which made it very clear you mean no. I always felt I could not say no as a child. Cadence I love it. It makes you want to listen it magnetizes you.

I have learned in life. the more confident someone appears the less competent they are. they are usually just ignorant about their level of incompetence. highly competent people usually think in the gray zone and question their own decisions. watch Elon Musk (highly competent but looks insecure) vs Cary Grant (nice guy but pretends for a living)

The thing is I am confident but I don't care about it, I'm not even trying to show it, I come into room look straight like he said like I'm on the mission, I can't care less what people think about me or how I'm perceived by others. The other reason I behave that way is because I'm not interested In other people, I don't bother to look at anyone.

The uptalk cracked me up. I grew up in Philly and moved to Lancaster(amish country. Everyone speaks uptalk in Lancaster. It's hard to take them seriously. - I hate that I picked up this inflection a bit living here. I try to be aware of it because I think it sounds ridiculous and makes you appear unsure of yourself.

I feel like as a woman you try to avoid candence because this is the point where you get interrupted. I had to learn to just keep on talking without reacting to the interruption as if it never happened. It just gets difficult when everyone else switches their attention to the louder person.
