I live in Oklahoma and this all happened not far from where I live. I never knew about this until I read the book a couple of years ago. It amazes me how it was kept in silence and not even taught in Oklahoma history in school. I m glad it s out now, as well as the Tulsa race riots. That was also kept silent.
Not Oklahoma related, but another one kept silent, is how Hawaii was acquired. Not by choice, but again, rich Americans wanting their land, so took it upon themselves to overthrow the Hawaiian monarchy and claim it for themselves. Should be another Weird History video, if it hasn t already been done.

The book was really good and I usually love any movie with Leo DeCaprio but he wasn't quite the right fit for this particular movie (Ernest was supposed to be 19, not 50. Also it goes on for well over three hours, like Dune but filled with Native American murder. Great book, so-so movie.

They should do a movie showing all the native american tribes fighting each other over land, before white people came, narrow down who really owns what. So many interesting stories there, but you know. its only bad when white people take land apparently.
