I was going to mention the Chinese ban on Alice in Wonderland, but you beat me to it! IIRC there were also bans in that country on Dr. Seuss books for a similar reason. I believe it went against certain Confucian morals/teachings, specifically animals behaving in a manner similar to humans (walking on two legs and talking in human speech. Something about blurring the line. I used to be a library assistant, and doing the banned book display in October was always a treat.

Society is butthurt over everything. They have nothing better to do so they ruin things for us 'normal' readers.
Charlotte's Web? Dear Lawd. Let's just go ahead and ban all Golden Books. Anyone remember those? Still have mine.
Fahrenheit 451 is an excellent novel. We HAD to read it AP English as well as To Kill A Mockingbird, The Outsiders, 1984, Animal Farm, Where The Red Fern Grows. That's to name a few and I think I turned out okay

You have Republicans right now passing The Parents Bill of Rights which is just a fear mongering tool to ban books about Black History, LGBT issues, and same for Florida governor DeSantis and his don't say gay bill. It's a disgrace for the USA who is supposed to be the leader of the free world! After Trump, we non Americans are still skeptical if Americans still share the same values of democracy?

My love of theater stemmed from watching the play Alice in Wonderland with my elementary school class at a nearby school. It was such a ground-shaking performance that the troupe was asked to come back and we went to see it as a class again!
Our elementary school also performed The Wizard of Oz for the spring play, I remember singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow as a group.

The Catcher In The Rye by JD Salinger was banned in my grade school when I was young, notice how popular these books become AFTER they are banned, it had the same effect. In fact kids who didn't care about that book had to get a copy to see what all of the fuss was about, kids will always be curious! BTW, reading that book didn't inspire new juvenile delinquents as feared, lol.

We have words for Gay Marriage. It's Gay Marriage. Marriage is between a man and a woman. Gay marriage is between a man and man or woman and woman. I support Gay Marriage for reasons of property ownership, medical care for partners and other legal matters but, it doesn't mean religious groups have to acknowledge it.

Consider how the GOP is currently on a book banning spree because of CRT and whatever they consider Woke, to the point that even the Graphic Novel Maus is now being banned because of the Holocaust subject (or maybe because Neo-Nazis might get offended) this video couldn't had arrived at a much appropriate time.

Definitely a needed video! Just watched a video of a very intelligent young boy reading a book to a parent teacher conference that covered inappropriate topics such as how to provide intimate services to another man. It was in a middle school library. Whoever approved it for the library should be sued!

Ignorance has been Weaponized by desperately corrupted elitists. The use of color to label people widely allows individuals to divide them selves by color. It s a manipulation tool. The only lives that truly matter are those who respect the lives of others.
- God said that, I m only repeating it

In the Georgia case where they tried to ban Harry Potter, at some point in the arguments the mother who started the whole mess was asked Have you even read these books? Nope, no she had not. She was trying to get the books banned just based on what she had heard from conservative media.

The author of Goosebumps said that he found out that without his knowledge his books were being rewritten to include woke friendly messaging. Even worst than book burning because it tries to rewrite history to make itself look like it existed for a long period of time. Scary times.

5: 33 Christian scripture is quite wishy washy on the subject. While Saul did ban witches, when he needed advice, he went out and found a witch, and asked her to summon long dead Samuel. And it worked, her magic was able to bring Saul back. Who bestowed this power upon her?

Loved the video BUT you forgot to mention Uncle Tom's Cabin. That got banned in my school district for 6 months in the schools and the PTA tried to get it banned from the public libraries as well. But they had no objections to the, um, spicy novel Wifey?
