How MTV's Punk'd Was Fak'd

How MTV's Punk'd Was Fak'd

Everyone who's ever watched an MTV reality TV show probably knows that some of that so-called reality is a little bit unreal. For every celebrity that totally lied on MTV's Cribs, there's a producer or two who faked a scene on Pimp My Ride. Reality TV lies are a dime a dozen but then there was Punk'd. Punk'd was arguably one of the realest reality shows on MTV. But producers had no qualms about cutting up their actual reactions and making it look like host Ashton Kutcher could not be beat

The best - do u guys remember in the last seconds of punke'd where the punk'd dude and ashton looked straight at the camera and said - yoooooooou got punk'd! ?
I guess they meant this shit real like they truly did punk'ed us and we took it wrong, they were just showing the truth but in a misleading way.
They called us out in front of the tv man emberassing xD.
And the worst out of it - the news and every other bs show in the TV do the same.
If u watching tv u rly need to be open minded or u get sucked up in front of it. damn

Did everyone really not know Justin Timberlake is not a kind person outside of his screen persona? I grew up loving nsync and he was my absolute idol as a teen. It broke my heart to grow up and see the kind of person he really was the whole time. He is a diva who refuses to have anyone bother him that isnt worthy of his space and time.

Always hated this show. The episode i hated the most was when they pretended someone's dog was being taken away. OhH yOu GoT pUnK'd, no, she was on the verge of a panic attack because she thought she might lose her dog for life. Disgusting show for a disgusting audience.

Of course it would be scripted. You have MTV (who will obviously have lawyers protected if their millions) and they are dealing with celebrities, who have lawyers ready to protect their image (and their millions) there is no way this could have ever been real.
reply

Sounds like the unedited version would be a much better show. I'd love to see them rerelease the actuacl takes 15 years after so the statute of limitations has ran out and you avoid any law suits.

If youre going to use somebodys name for Clickbait and get views. at least I have the respect and pronounce his name properly. fake or not fake he made millions and entertained us while doing it.

God poor Pinkston is probably traumatized for life now lmao & also They clearly did not play The Urbz Black Eyed Peas version and didnt know their reactions were gonna be wild
reply

Unless the celebrities KNEW they were being punked and acted their reactions. No amount of editing makes it fake. The premise is pranking celebrities. And he did. therefore not fake!

The whole time watching this video I was thinking why is he saying his last name wrong he's pronouncing it wrong the only thing that irritated me about the video
reply

Back in the early 2000's Punk'd was a fun show too watch but you can tell that not a lot of pranks was successful against other celebrities Lol

No one wants to watch Dwayne the Rock Johnson pummel improv graduates for pretending to steal his escalade
Agree to disagree I guess

Curious about the authenticity of MTV's early 2000s dating shows, Room Raiders, Next, and Parental Control, how scripted those were.
reply

I know its originally pronounced Bak but King Bach pronounce it Batch
yeah I know its wrong but thats how he wants to call him

reply

Its kinda funny when you get close to getting a name right but not quite. or maybe Ive been saying them wrong all this time?
reply

This is why I ask people whats wrong with watching anime shit everything you watch is fake anyway plus stories are good
reply

I used to hate Ashton. He was not funny. He was annoying and so fake. Where is he now? He was a terrible actor too.
reply

I never watched it, I always thought Kutcher was a doucher. Yeah bad joke, but that guy was soooooo F'ing annoying.
reply

So was Boiling points. It even features a very young Lady Gaga (Stefani Germanotta) before she was even famous.
reply

They would make millions if they let the unedited reaction videos out that would b a whole new show lmfaoo
reply

Even as a teenager I hated this show so much. Tormenting people and recording them never seemed funny to me.
