Make your own LED Battery Level Indicator Ray: Hello again. Love your videos as always. You always give me good ideas.
I am looking to do something like this to control 3 leds one for 5v, 9v and 12v,
I did consider the LM324 but iI was wanting just 1 led to light up at a time. This is not possible with the LM324. I think i will need a Micro controller like the small ATTINY85. I can do all the hardware, But i lack any kind of code writing skills. Could anyone help me please? As for the leds. I'd like to have a small range that they come on and go off. Example, led 1 would turn on as low as 4. 9V then off at 5. 1v. I'd like to be able to adjust values as necessary.
Thanks for reading and any advice.

Oh Boy. i do not know why i did not think to use this chip earlier for a gas propane meter project. I had a digital Propane meter that went belly up, and nothing is available to replace it.
I tried to use the LM3914, but this did not work well for me. The sensor ( halleffect ) is not very linear, so this LM324 would be perfect for me, as i can adjust each trigger point as i need it to be.

This is still not very accurate, as with different loads, voltage will drop accordingly, even though capacity won't. So for example, you can't have an accurate reading under load, just sorta approximation under no load in this instance. You'd want a fuel gauge IC like the ones used in battery packs to get an accurate reading.

Hey, am new to proto typing, how does one attach the boost converter module to a perf board, actually working on a different project and been looking for a way to accomplish this.
Do you recommend simply pasting the module to project box for a circuit comprising only of TP 4056 and DC to DC booster alongwith battery?

I was just changing batteries today in my wall clock and I thought it'd be cool to have something that just takes in a couple of AA cells and lets me know how much juice is left in them(for testing my remaining stash of batteries. Boom! Here it is!

Great video most informative. Are you offering any DIY kits for 3s, 4s and 5s 18650 Cells. The ones I am finding today are either plagued with issues or simply do not work consistently as offered.
Thanks!

How do you supply Rhi and Rlo with constant voltages when the battery is a changing, dropping, voltage source with time? Or is the circuit supplied with a separate power source from the battery?
