DIY Solar Tracker How much solar energy can it save?

i have recently made a small solar system (4x100W panels, 2-3kW pure sinewave inverter, 12V battery, i know it's small but it's able to power up my entire house every day during summer, and with the help of a charger on night also during winter.
I have a problem (i guess, when sun is perpendicular, angle is right and panel not to hot it only produces 240W instead of 400, i tried to connect panels in series, in parallel, 2 parallel couple in series but nothing has changed, 220-240W, the same with MPPT charge controller or with cheap PWM controller.
The strange thing is that when i had only 2 panel they are able to produce easily 160W, now that i've added 2 more panel i've gained only ''one 100W'' panel of energy.
(if i shortcircuit every single panel for only a few seconds they all give me 5A, but all 4 in parallel only 14A instead of 20, in series 7/8 instead of 10, why)
Is this normal? a 400W system working only at 240W? Cable are big and i don't thing is the reason, because i have the same watt result in series or in parallel, thank you very much to all of you: )

Well, obviously he had a nice idea but at the end did nearly everything wrong from my perspective. Such a test can't be run for 2. 5 hrs. Normally you test something like that for a year. Then he did not include the power consumption of his tracking device, neither did his comparison include the building of the device.
And that is why there are hardly any productive solar tracking systems in the world installed. They are completely ineffective. Alone building the needed concrete foundation together with the massive steel carrier for the panels make the whole setup unreasonable.

I appreciate GreatScott and his level of intelligence, but without realising it he is exclusive to members of the electronics community which is sad really. He's managed to communicate in the English language so well, but most viewers are still not understanding him due to the technical nature of these projects. The real challenge would be to translate what is necessary so that the lay person can grasp what is being said.

I built the tracker but it does not work. After I power it on, the servos go to the end position and stop there. It does not even follow light. If I turn it off and rotate the servos manually, they get back to the end position after power on again. What can be the problem? I use a Nano V3-like controller.

The difference is likely more. You plastic part with the 4 sensors is placing a shadow on the solar panel as was the wire. I have heard that blocking even a small are of a solar can block all the output of that panel.

Considering 1 square meter of sun light produces 1kw of energy vs same sized solar panel only produces 200watt. If we can multi layer a cd to produce dvd. There's a lot of room for panel optimization.

You sure as hell went the long way around, you could have done the same thing with 2 small panels set at 45 degrees In fact a kid did that in a high school science fair for about 10th the cost

hang on a second, when the sun sets, it will absorb the energy from it. in the morning, the sun will just pop up behind it and it won't know it until noon where it can see it again. WHAT!

What about the energy that is consumed by the movement sistem, does that extra 10% energy accumulated compensate for the energy consumed by the motors? And how much of that remains?
