Not just labs, theyre popular pets too. Its an interesting question, what it means when we simultaneously drive animals to extinction in the wild yet in a sense provide a new niche which they thrive in. Theres stuff like urban foxes, coyotes and racoons, who now live a very different lifestyle from their wilder cousins. Lots of city birds as well, who now rely on those cities because their natural habitats are gone. And ofcourse theres domesticated animals like dogs, cats, sheep etc who we keep both for work and pleasure, who dont really have a wild habitat they are suited for anymore.
At least in this case, there is an alternative. Far too many species just lose their habitat and can neither adapt nor end up with a new one.

I have a Black Axelottle, I love him I've had him for like 7 years, I also had a white one that I had from a baby to full grown, but he got a thing called impactation, they suck up gravel from the bottom of the tank and filter out food but sometimes a bigger pebble gets caught in their intestinal tract and cause a blockage, there is no way to detect it he was swimming around happily 1 hour before his stomach basically split and he passed, my family has become so attached to them, it's loss hurt for weeks, we even cried, they are truly beautiful, amazing and special

3: 19 i am disappointed in myself for not being able to do anything for whats shown here. The most i can do is not to waste food or water, turn off switches and taps and not polluting the roads and streets. If that helps any creature in any way ill be oblidged.
