Ditching fossil fuels is the most important thing we can do to combat climate change, but it can feel like wandering through a labyrinth to try to do so. In this episode of Crash Course Climate and Energy, we'll explore why it's so hard for us to break up with fossil fuels and the ways governments and fuel companies affect our relationship with them.

I completely understand the concept but we have so many obstacles to alternatives that getting rid of fossil fuels this quickly is gonna be really hard. For example for electricity nuclear is the solution but nobody is pushing for it and solar farm and wind farms end up getting rid of the wildlife in those areas so thats a lose imo. Then we have cars electric cars are not a proper solution at least for me a hydrogen fuel cell car is a proper solution just cause it doesn't change any of the habbits we already have of fueling up and so on. I think we have too many obstacles in front of proper solutions for us to be able to say stop using fossil fuels. Thank you for coming to my ted talk

But I've always enjoyed cold turkey. It makes for the best sandwiches.
We don't have a proper energy grid infrastructure right now to support such a hard switch to electric cars. 39. 8% of the US electric grid is being supplied by natural gas generators and 19. 5% by coal. Where is this new energy going to come from since the extremist hate nuclear power? Look at all the blackouts California had last year.

Fossil fuels. By the way, I have difficulty communicating because I had a stroke in Broca s area, the part of the brain that controls speech. 2/8/2021 but I lived again. (My wife helped me compose this)

We could have made smoother transitions sooner, but we didn't, so we'll have to go the hard road or fall off the cliff into environmental collapse.

When you think about how to get away from fossil fuels. It becomes obvious that massive subsidy is necessary on the consumer level.
