After World War II, Europe was changing radically, and its place in the world was changing as well. European powers had colonized around the world in the 18th and 19th centuries, and in the 20th century, it all came crashing down. Of course the degree of crashing was variable from country to country

Life is simple. Each of us are driven by greed. To live, to prosper, to love. No matter how small it is, there is not a single human that is able to live without greed. Some of us have the bare minimum of greed and simply want to enjoy life as is, some however, are willing to do everything they can to stand on the top of others, even if they must eliminate and enslave their own kind. European monarchs are one of the examples of the truest color of humanity, the more greed you have, the more human you are. Taking advantage from the weak, the unintelligent, and the crippled. The strong rule over the weak is the true nature of our existence since the very beginning. We evolve by killing other forms of life. We thrive as we massacred others. We don't see people that are unfamiliar to us as our own kind, we see them as a threat, or a piece of living thing that you can take advantage of.

I don-t remember all the details but on the RuPaul Podcast they chatted with Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje about the movie Farming and Britain-s practice of taking immigrants children so they could work in factories. The stories of these people were not just shadowed by racism, they also stripped families apart and handed children to white families all over the UK.

Simone de Beauvoir was a horrible philosopher and Fanon was. goofy.
Nonetheless people like de Beauvoir were powerful to bring attention to the Algerian struggle especially when people like Camus opposite her was struggling with mixed feelings being an Algerian Frenchman himself.

I would have loved if the series started sooner. I really want to know about pre-renaissance history more! I would love to learn about the Celts, Romans and the tribal peoples, formation of England, vikings and all the medieval history up to the renaissance. Such a shame.

Great video! Horrible thing even after Europeans left their colonies the same people they liberated become the same as the Europeans. Africans with English names languages and religion. Most of these places are proxy European nations still

If your default assessment is to blame colonization then you will never hold a decolonized nation accountable. China has pulled 500 million of its people out of abject poverty with economic emulation of free market policies.

The statement about colonies being better off independent thought likely true is difficult to scale as things like higher literacy rates and longer lifetimes we happening everywhere (short of maybe parts of Maoist China.

This video couldn't be more perfectly timed for a release. So many ignorant commentators on twitter who know nothing about decolonization and the struggles that came with it. I hope this video educates A LOT of people

Wow, you really did your research here, TFS! When are you going to cover the former British colonies in the West Indies and the US Western Hemisphere control over their economy from 1945 -2000?
reply

Hey, thanks for not pulling the punches when it came to the absolute barbarity of colonial rule.
Death to fascism, imperialism, and capitalism.
